Associate Accountant

Description of the function

In this role, you will gain exposure to several areas within finance accounting, including accounts receivable, cash management, accounts payable, general ledger and consolidation. Main roles

• Develop your accounting expertise across several areas of finance accounting, including accounts receivable, cash management, accounts payable, general ledger and consolidation, through a structured and supportive learning journey
• Support the preparation, reconciliation and review of accounting information across different finance processes, helping ensure transactions are recorded accurately and on time
• Investigate outstanding items, perform analyses and actively contribute ideas to improve day-to-day accounting processes
• Contribute to month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, analytical reviews and explanation of key account movements
• Prepare, record, analyze and report accounting transactions while ensuring completeness, accuracy and compliance with internal accounting policies and principles
• Apply and respect internal controls and accounting procedures, while developing a solid understanding of financial governance requirements
• Ensure timely and accurate preparation of accounting entries and supporting documentation
• Contribute to the reconciliation and quality review of balance sheet accounts to support robust financial reporting
• Get involved in accounting and transformation initiatives that help modernize processes, improve efficiency and raise the quality of our finance operations
• Build awareness of how technology is transforming finance, with opportunities to learn and contribute to digital tools, automation initiatives and data-driven ways of working
• Develop practical exposure to finance technology solutions such as AI-enabled tools, Power Platform applications and process improvement approaches that support the finance function of the future

• Collaborate with colleagues across countries and functions, gaining valuable international exposure and contributing to a team-oriented culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• A first experience or internship in accounting, finance, shared services or digital/process improvement is a plus, but what matters most is your curiosity, motivation and willingness to learn
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and a strong interest in developing your knowledge further in an international finance environment
• Strong interest in the future of finance, including technology, automation, AI or tools such as Power Apps and Power Automate
• Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset and enthusiasm for working with colleagues from different countries and backgrounds
• Able to work accurately, organize priorities effectively and collaborate well both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable with Excel; experience or interest in ERP systems, data tools or digital finance solutions is a plus
• Fluent in English
