THE ROLE

Lead and inspire a high-performing engineering team within FlashArray to build scalable, high-performance systems software that powers mission-critical, six-nines reliable storage products. In this impactful leadership role, you will bridge customer needs with cutting-edge engineering, driving innovation from concept through delivery while fostering an inclusive, collaborative team culture. You will partner closely with product management, cross-functional engineering teams, and customer success leaders to transform ambitious data platform vision into market-defining technology.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Drive End-to-End Product Innovation: Lead engineering execution through the full software development lifecycle to deliver resilient, high-performance algorithms and system features on predictable schedules.
• Cultivate Team Growth & Technical Excellence: Mentor and empower software engineers, fostering an agile, high-trust environment focused on continuous learning, technical quality, and strong team collaboration.
• Embed Customer-Centricity in Engineering: Translate real-world customer insights into development priorities, establishing feedback loops that ensure high satisfaction and continuous product improvement.
• Advance Delivery Practices: Implement and refine agile development workflows and quality best practices to shorten release cycles while maintaining exceptional system reliability.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Engineering Leadership: Demonstrated experience guiding and growing software engineering teams, balancing technical guidance with people management while staying engaged with system architecture and software development concepts.
• Systems Software & Lifecycle Mastery: Strong technical background in core software development (such as C, C++, Golang or Java) paired with proven success managing complete SDLC processes in an agile or short-cycle environment.
• Problem-Solving & Communication: Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and clear communication skills with a track record of facilitating alignment across technical and business stakeholders.
• Location: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Bangalore office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
