DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |About the role
As the Technical Consultant, you will:
- Install, configure, and support Extreme Networks Switching, Wireless, NAC, and SD-WAN solutions.
- Perform network implementation, migration, upgrades, and troubleshooting activities for enterprise customers.
- Monitor network performance and resolve technical issues within defined SLA timelines.
- Coordinate with OEM TAC teams for technical escalations and issue resolution.
- Prepare HLD/LLD, implementation documents, network diagrams, and technical reports.
- Conduct health checks, preventive maintenance, and firmware/software upgrade activities.
- Support customer POC, testing, and deployment activities for new solutions and technologies.
- Work closely with pre-sales, project, and support teams for successful project delivery.
- Provide technical knowledge transfer and training to customers and internal teams.
- Maintain technical certifications and continuously upgrade knowledge on Extreme
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE |About you
The ideal Technical Consultant :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-8 years of experience in Enterprise Networking, Wireless, Switching, and Network Security solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Extreme Networks Switching, Wireless, NAC, SD-WAN, and Cloud IQ solutions.
- Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, VLAN, STP, Routing, Wireless technologies, and network troubleshooting.
- Experience in implementation, configuration, migration, and support of enterprise network environments.
- Good understanding of network monitoring, NAC, network automation, and security best practices.
- Experience in handling customer deployments, troubleshooting, RCA, and coordination with OEM TAC support.
- Relevant certifications such as Extreme Certified Specialist (ECS), Extreme Certified Professional (ECP), or equivalent networking certifications are preferred.
- Knowledge of multi-vendor networking environments including Cisco, Aruba, Juniper, or Fortinet is an added advantage.
- Good communication, presentation, and documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects within SLA timelines.
