MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Following specific procedures, work patters and routines as outlined in training and orientation, the associate will

perform tasks such as:

• Mixing solutions for nursing and housekeeping staff, delivering supplies, removal of garbage, stripping floors

as required, cleaning windows and lights, sweeping and scrubbing areas such as janitor's closet, service

entrance, laundry room, dining rooms, and elevators, performing heavy housekeeping duties and small

repairs.

• Performs outside work such as removing snow, and sanding or salting as required.
• Adheres to establisheddepartment policies and procedures regardingquality management, safety,

environment and infection control.

• Cooperates with other departments in such tasks as transferring residents, movingand storing supplies, and

moving furniture and equipment.

• Participatesin committee meetings such as infection control, quality managementand safety, as required.
• Maintainsrequired records and information as directed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Extensive standing and walking.

• Moving equipment.
• Considerable reaching, squatting, kneeling, crouchingand climbing ladders.
• May be exposed to hazards from use of tools and power equipment.
• Exposure to biochemical substances and weather conditions.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSAND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions
