ExxonMobil’s affiliates have offices in India in Bengaluru, Mumbai and the National Capital Region.

ExxonMobil’s affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.

ExxonMobil’s LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other ExxonMobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.

The Global Business Center - Technology Center provides a range of technical and business support services for ExxonMobil’s operations around the globe.

What role you will play in our team

We are seeking a talented, agile T-shaped team member as a Data Visualization and Transformation Support Engineer with platform expertise across Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Splunk, and Sinequa to join our dynamic data and analytics organization. This cross-functional team member will support various product platforms. This individual should bring deep expertise in at least one or two of the core tools, along with broad knowledge across other tools, allowing them to collaboratively tackle complex issues and adapt to diverse platform needs.

What you will do

Key Responsibilities:

• Agile Collaboration:
• Operate as a collaborative, T-shaped team, where each member contributes deep knowledge in their primary expertise area while supporting others in additional areas to maximize overall support across all tools.
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure a transparent and efficient workflow.
• Data Analytics and Visualization:
• Support and maintain Tableau and Power BI platforms that cater to business intelligence needs.
• Utilize Alteryx for ETL processes and to streamline data preparation, ensuring data consistency.
• Data Mining and Advanced Analytics:
• Leverage Splunk for advanced log analysis and operational insights, optimizing the organization’s monitoring and security posture.
• Use Sinequa to harness unstructured data through cognitive search and analytics, driving insights from large-scale, complex datasets.
• Automation:
• Develop platform solutions to proactively automate repetitive tasks, creating efficiencies and reducing manual intervention.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align analytics and visualization solutions with business requirements.
• Continuous Improvement and Knowledge Sharing:
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement by proactively learning and adopting new techniques, tools, and methodologies.
• Share knowledge across the team and provide mentorship on best practices for Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, Splunk, and Sinequa.

About you

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in Tableau and Power BI for data visualization, with the ability to support the platform and dashboards.
• Proficiency in Alteryx for data blending, preparation, and ETL processes.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk for data mining, log analysis, and operational intelligence.
• Knowledge of Sinequa or other cognitive search tools to analyze unstructured data.
• Agile mindset with experience in Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex issues to team members
