The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior client executives, helping global organizations transform fragmented payroll environments into standardized, scalable, technology-enabled and effectively governed global payroll operating models.

The Senior Manager will be accountable not only for successful program delivery, but also for shaping solutions, supporting strategic pursuits, strengthening client relationships, developing leadership capability, driving innovation and contributing to the growth of the Global Payroll business. Key Responsibilities include:

1. Global Payroll Transformation & Implementation Leadership

  • Provide senior leadership for complex, large-scale multi-country and multi-region payroll transformation programs.
  • Define transformation strategies, target operating models, implementation roadmaps, governance structures and success measures.
  • Oversee the complete implementation lifecycle from discovery and design through configuration, integration, data migration, testing, parallel payroll, cutover, go-live, stabilization and transition to operations.
  • Drive global standardization while appropriately addressing country-specific statutory, regulatory and operational requirements.
  • Establish strong program governance, quality gates, change control, risk management and deployment-readiness disciplines.
  • Provide executive intervention for critical program risks, challenged implementations and major go-live decisions.

2. Technology & Digital Transformation

  • Shape the technology strategy supporting global payroll transformation and ensure alignment across payroll, HR/HCM, Finance, Time & Attendance and enterprise platforms.
  • Provide strategic oversight of payroll integrations, interfaces, data migration, workflow, reporting, automation and testing.
  • Work effectively within ecosystems involving platforms such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors and other major HRIS/HCM and payroll technologies.
  • Partner with Solution Architects, Technology Leaders and client IT senior leaders to ensure scalable and sustainable solutions.
  • Champion appropriate use of automation, AI and analytics to improve implementation effectiveness and future payroll operations.

3. Executive Client & Program Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and senior escalation point for strategic global clients.
  • Establish executive governance and lead senior Steering Committee discussions.
  • Provide transparent executive-level oversight of scope, schedule, commercials, resources, risks, issues, quality and key dependencies.
  • Translate complex payroll and technology challenges into clear business decisions and recommendations.
  • Navigate difficult trade-offs involving scope, timeline, investment, quality and risk while protecting long-term client relationships.
  • Build enduring relationships with senior stakeholders across HR, Payroll, Finance, Technology, Procurement and Transformation.

4. Pre-Sales, Solutioning & Business Development

  • Lead and support strategic global payroll pursuits, RFP/RFI responses, solution workshops, proposals and executive presentations.
  • Translate client challenges into differentiated payroll transformation and implementation solutions.
  • Shape the implementation approach, delivery model, resourcing, governance, roadmap, assumptions, dependencies and commercial considerations.
  • Partner across Sales/Engagement, Solution Architecture, Technology, Operations, Commercial, Risk and Contracting teams.
  • Maintain strong discipline between what is sold and what can be successfully delivered, ensuring a seamless transition from pursuit through contracting, implementation and operations.
  • Identify and develop opportunities for additional transformation, technology, implementation and managed-services engagements.

5. Commercial, Risk & Quality Leadership

  • Provide executive oversight of program economics, commercial performance and delivery risk.
  • Ensure disciplined scope, assumption and change-control management.
  • Balance client outcomes, delivery quality, risk and commercial sustainability.
  • Establish robust quality, governance and executive escalation mechanisms.
  • Promote a strong “no surprises” culture, ensuring material risks and dependencies are identified early and transparently communicated.
  • Drive lessons learned and continuous improvement across the implementation portfolio.

6. Practice, Capability & Talent Leadership

  • Build scalable delivery capability across APAC, EMEIA and Americas.
  • Sponsor innovation across payroll transformation, technology, automation, analytics and AI.
  • Contribute thought leadership and market insight to strengthen the organization's Global Payroll proposition.

Experience & Qualifications:
