The opportunity
EY GDS is seeking an experienced Senior Manager with deep Insurance Technology Architecture expertise to support and lead large-scale transformation programmes for global insurance clients. The successful candidate will combine strong consulting experience, hands-on architecture leadership, and deep knowledge of insurance core platforms to drive technology transformation initiatives, support business growth, and act as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead architecture and solution design activities for complex insurance transformation programmes.
- Act as a hands-on Solution Architect, providing technical leadership throughout the full project lifecycle, from shaping and design through delivery and implementation.
- Define target architectures, integration strategies, cloud adoption roadmaps, and technology standards aligned with business objectives.
- Provide architecture leadership and governance across implementation teams, ensuring solution quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Drive technical delivery by working closely with business, architecture, development, testing, integration, and infrastructure teams.
- Leverage deep expertise in Guidewire, EIS, or other core insurance platforms to support solution design and delivery.
- Build trusted relationships with client executives, business stakeholders, architects, and technology leadership teams.
- Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert during pursuits, RFP responses, client workshops, and proposal development activities.
- Support sales and go-to-market initiatives through solution shaping, estimations, technical presentations, and bid management activities.
- Contribute to development of Insurance Technology offerings, accelerators, reference architectures, and thought leadership materials.
- Support capability growth within the practice through coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and development of architecture competencies.
- Lead by example and help build a strong culture of technical excellence, innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support recruitment, talent development, and growth of architecture and engineering capabilities across the Insurance practice.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Extensive experience in Insurance Technology Consulting, Enterprise Architecture, or Solution Architecture roles.
- Strong expertise in Guidewire, EIS, or other leading insurance core platforms.
- Proven track record delivering architecture for large-scale insurance transformation programmes.
- Deep understanding of insurance business processes, operating models, and technology ecosystems.
- Strong hands-on experience with enterprise integration, API-based architectures, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and modern application architectures.
- Proven experience supporting sales activities, proposals, and strategic pursuits as a technical SME.
