Production Operator

The company is currently looking to fill the position of Production Operator. The role exists to plan, oversee, and manage the day-to-day manufacture of mayonnaise so that volume, quality, food safety, yield, and cost objectives are reliably achieved while adhering to approved recipes, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and regulatory standards.

• Direct Reports: Line operators and production helpers

• Carry out the daily production schedule for the mayonnaise line so that batching, emulsification, mixing, filling, capping, coding, labelling, and packing all follow the approved recipe and SOPs.
• Track key process parameters — ingredient weights, mixing duration and speed, temperature, viscosity, and fill weight — and intervene with corrective measures whenever readings move away from target values.
• Submit material requisitions early and verify that raw materials and packaging materials are on hand ahead of every production run.
• Achieve daily and weekly goals covering output volume, yield, line efficiency, and changeover duration.

• Ensure strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), HACCP controls, and personal hygiene standards across the line.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on in-process verification — pH, viscosity, fill weight, seal integrity, and batch coding — halting the line and placing affected product on hold whenever a deviation is detected.
• Implement allergen controls relating to egg and confirm that cleaning and sanitation tasks are finished and signed off prior to start-up and changeovers.
• Complete batch production records accurately.
