Overview 

As a Senior Mobile Engineer, you'll contribute to a multi-platform app built on Kotlin Multiplatform, shipping features across Android, iOS, and additional targets from a shared codebase. You'll own complex work end-to-end, write code that sets the quality bar for the team, and help shape architecture decisions in a fast-moving product environment. Our engineering strategy centers on KMP and Compose Multiplatform to deliver high-quality, consistent experiences across platforms - and the engineers who build it are expected to help keep that bar high.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production-quality features across Android and shared KMP layers, taking ownership from design through deployment with minimal oversight
• Implement features across core product domains - connecting Compose Multiplatform UI to shared business logic through clean MVI state management
• Contribute to a layered, multi-module architecture, respecting module boundaries and shared platform contracts
• Partner with shared platform teams to implement against declared interfaces, keeping app-specific logic cleanly separated from shared platform concerns
• Collaborate with product, design, and QA to deliver reliable, pixel-accurate experiences across multiple platform targets
• Write testable, well-structured Kotlin leveraging coroutines, flows, KSP-based codegen, and dependency injection patterns consistent with the team's standards
• Conduct thorough code reviews, maintaining module boundary discipline and build system conventions
• Participate in the on-call rotation, helping diagnose and resolve issues across platforms
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning on the team

Experience and Skills

• 5+ years of experience building scalable, consumer-facing Android applications with strong command of MVI architecture
• Strong Kotlin proficiency - coroutines, flows, idioms, and best practices - with the ability to apply and share these effectively across the team
• Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform - comfortable developing and scaling shared business logic in a multi-module KMP codebase
• Hands-on experience with Compose or Compose Multiplatform, building design-system-compliant UI across platform targets
• Proficiency in Gradle multi-module projects, including convention plugins and dependency management
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated mobile testing practices
• Comfortable working across shared platform and library boundaries - implementing against declared interfaces without leaking platform-specific logic into shared modules
• Clear communicator able to articulate technical decisions to peers, product, and design stakeholders
• Agile/SCRUM experience with a track record of consistent, quality delivery
• Team-first mentality with a drive to raise the bar continuously

Bonus

• Compose Multiplatform experience across Android, iOS, desktop, and wasm targets
• Experience with KSP-based codegen and Koin or similar DI in a KMP environment
• Familiarity with feature flag systems and mobile observability tooling
• Experience with backend services, distributed systems and event-driven architectures

Depending on the role, your interview and onboarding experience may include in-person components, such as onsite interviews or Launching into Better: LIVE-a multi-day cultural immersion in New York City for full-time, non-seasonal hires. The range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual offer is confirmed. Salary Range

$152,000—$200,000 USD
