About Fasset
At Fasset, we believe your money should answer to you. We are a banking and investment platform built around a simple idea: more people should have access to the financial system, regardless of where they live. We are building the global financial system for ownership, one that moves what you earn into what you own, so that what you can own is never decided by where you were born.
We operate across emerging markets, with a particular focus on the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Founded by Mohammad Raafi Hossain and Daniel Ahmed, Fasset has raised more than $80 million and holds regulatory approvals across markets including the UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, the EU, Türkiye and Pakistan.
We are a fast-moving, global team scaling a regulated platform across multiple markets. Our culture runs on HEART: Humble Curiosity, Enthusiasm, Act Like Owners, Raise the Bar, and Tenacity. And we hold one simple view about the people who join us: the owners arrive early.
About the role
Seven events in six countries, five different growth workstreams, and several open roles to fill, all with hard deadlines through December. This role exists to make sure all of it actually happens on time: venues get booked, vendors get paid, decisions get made and followed through, and nothing falls through the cracks. You'll have real ownership day to day - picking vendors, planning travel, running the recurring team meetings - while bigger calls (big spend, signing contracts, anything public-facing) go through your manager for approval. It's a hands-on, high-trust role: by the end of the year you'll have delivered a full slate of international events and built the systems that keep a fast-moving growth team organized, with a clear path afterward into a bigger role in events, growth, or operations.
What you'll do
- Run the operating cadence - weekly growth and studio reviews, a monthly scorecard, and per-stop go/no-go calls. Circulate written inputs the day before, log decisions and owners after, and chase follow-through while there's still time to fix it.
- Own Buildathon production end to end - seven stops from September to December, covering venue, vendors, permits, budget, run of show, guest list, travel, on-site delivery, and close-out.
- Manage vendors and suppliers - sourcing, negotiating, contracting, paying on time, and holding them to spec across venues, AV, production, research, and the freelance creative bench.
- Maintain programme tracking - one place where every commitment across the five streams lives with an owner and a date, and you're accountable for the tracker being true.
- Provide executive enablement - roughly one day a week of calendar and inbox triage, travel, briefing packs before every meeting that matters, and holding threads that would otherwise drop.
- Keep hiring operations moving - scheduling, candidate experience, and no candidate waiting a week for a reply.
What you'll bring
Must have
- Has produced live events end to end, in more than one country. You booked the venue, argued with the AV supplier, and fixed the thing that broke ninety minutes before doors. This is the requirement we will probe hardest in interview.
- Travel ready. Roughly five to six weeks in transit between September and December across the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, Japan, the UK and the US. You need existing visa-free access or valid multi-entry visas for those markets, or the ability to obtain them without a process that would delay a booking. Trips are sometimes confirmed at two weeks' notice.
- Works well when it is messy. You can take a half-formed instruction and come back with a plan. You can hold a dozen open threads in your head while you build the system that will hold them. Very little here arrives fully specified.
- About the admin. Roughly a day a week of this job is calendar, inbox, travel and expenses. That share is capped and it is permanent. People who do well here accept it as the price of having their hands on everything else. If reading that gives you pause, say so at first interview.
- Also wanted. Writes clearly and briefly. Can chase senior people and keep the relationship. Reads a budget and spots the line that is wrong. Has worked closely with a founder or a leadership team.
Nice to have
- Experience working in fast-paced fintech, technology, or other high-growth environments.
- Experience coordinating international events, conferences, activations, or community programmes across multiple markets.
- Comfortable with project management and collaboration tools.
- Strong commercial instincts - able to negotiate with vendors, manage budgets, and make sensible trade-offs.
Not a 100% match? We'd still love to hear from you. We hire for potential and HEART, not a checklist, so apply if the mission excites you.
