About the Role:
We are looking for an AI Platform Architect to join Ferrero's Global IT Data & AI organization. Reporting to the Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence Manager, this role will define and evolve the enterprise architecture of Ferrero's AI platform ecosystem.
The position will establish platform strategies, reference architectures and technical standards enabling scalable, secure and governed adoption of Generative AI and Agentic AI. Microsoft Azure represents the primary enterprise AI hub, while the broader ecosystem includes AI capabilities and agentic solutions provided by other technology platforms and enterprise applications.
Working closely with Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, CoE Data, infrastructure teams and technology partners, the AI Platform Architect will ensure interoperability across platforms and support the development of a consistent, open and sustainable AI ecosystem.
This role is based in our Alba offices, with flexibility for remote work up to two days per week.
Main Responsibilities:
In this role, you will define and continuously evolve the enterprise AI platform strategy, target architecture and technology roadmap, ensuring that platform capabilities remain aligned with business needs, enterprise architecture principles and the evolution of Artificial Intelligence technologies.
You will also develop and maintain reference architectures, technical standards, architectural guardrails and reusable platform patterns, enabling consistent and scalable implementation of Generative AI and Agentic AI initiatives across the organization.
You will govern the adoption and evolution of shared AI platform capabilities, including model access, API management and integration layers, identity and access management, agent registration, communication protocols, monitoring, observability and evaluation services.
While Microsoft Azure represents the primary AI hub, you will ensure interoperability with AI capabilities and agentic ecosystems available across other cloud platforms and enterprise applications, supporting open and sustainable multi-platform architectures.
You will assess emerging AI technologies, agentic frameworks and vendor roadmaps, translating relevant developments into architectural recommendations, platform improvements and updates to the enterprise AI roadmap.
Working with others IT and Cybersecurity stakeholders you will embed security, data protection, resilience, interoperability and Responsible AI requirements into the platform architecture.
You will provide platform-level guidance during architecture reviews and technical feasibility assessments, supporting AI Solution Architects, AI Platform Specialists and delivery teams in the adoption of approved capabilities and reference patterns.
Finally, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and technology partners to evaluate new platform capabilities through technical assessments and proofs of concept, converting innovation into reusable enterprise services rather than isolated implementations.
About You:
You hold a master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and have solid experience in Platform, Cloud, Enterprise or AI Architecture roles within complex international environments.
You bring strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its AI ecosystem, combined with an understanding of cloud architecture, integration, API management, identity, networking, security, observability and platform automation.
You have experience with Generative AI and agentic architectures. Knowledge of AI capabilities and agent ecosystems beyond Azure, such as those available across SAP, Google Cloud Platform, AWS or other enterprise technology ecosystems, would strengthen your profile.
You are familiar with architectural patterns for model access, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, agent orchestration, tool integration, evaluation and monitoring. You understand DevOps, MLOps, LLMOps and AgentOps principles and can design platforms that support the complete lifecycle of AI solutions.
You can evaluate technologies and vendors, make architectural trade-offs and communicate recommendations clearly to technical specialists, technology partners and senior stakeholders.
Fluent in English, you work effectively in international and cross-functional environments.

What We Offer:
The role is classified at Level Quadro under the National Collective Agreement for the Food Industry (CCNL Industria Alimentare). The guaranteed minimum base annual gross salary established by the CCNL for the applicable level is €50.083. The compensation package also includes an annual variable component with a target of up to 15% of base salary. The overall compensation will be determined based on the experience, skills, and qualifications of the selected candidate.
