About the Role:
Positioned within Global Data Science & AI team, the Data Scientist contributes to solving complex business challenges through innovative analytics and AI-driven approaches, with a strong focus on production and scalability. The position supports the Data & AI function in shaping strategic decisions across the business and across multiple categories and geographies.
This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value projects that leverage cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, transforming data into actionable insights that guide Ferrero’s growth.
Based at the Alba offices, the role offers the possibility of working remotely up to two days per week.
Main Responsibilities:
As a Data Scientist, you will analyze diverse datasets, including internal and external sources related to Operations processes and build advanced statistical and AI-driven models to solve business questions across categories and geographies.
In this role, you will develop, test, and deploy models leveraging traditional Machine Learning models as well as Generative AI and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques to deliver contextual insights and decision support. You will also design robust data cleaning and classification procedures ensuring data integrity for modeling and reporting.
To gain efficiency for ongoing work, you will script automation workflows for analytical pipelines and explore AI-driven automation for data preparation, processing and model validation. You will create interactive dashboards in Power BI and, in some cases, develop self-service UI solutions enabling stakeholders to run models independently.
Finally, you will continuously innovate, share knowledge, and integrate emerging technologies to enhance organizational capabilities by collaborating within a team of data scientists and cross-functional partners.
About You:
You hold a master's degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Econometrics, Statistics, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline, and have gained solid experience in Advanced Analytics, with expertise in modelling techniques and advanced statistical concepts combined with familiarity with modern AI approaches. Knowledge of manufacturing operations, supply chain, and product quality environments would further strengthen your profile.
You are proficient in programming languages such as Python and have experience working with platforms like Power BI, Azure, Spark, and Scala. Familiarity with Databricks and MLOps principles will enable you to contribute effectively across the analytics lifecycle.
Analytical skills, creativity, and a test-and-learn mindset will help you thrive in this role. You are fluent in English and able to manage business stakeholders effectively, interpreting analytical outputs from a business perspective.

What We Offer:
The role is classified at Level 1° under the National Collective Agreement for the Food Industry (CCNL Industria Alimentare). The guaranteed minimum base annual gross salary established by the CCNL for the applicable level is €43.249. The compensation package also includes an annual variable component with a target of up to 5% of base salary. The overall compensation will be determined based on the experience, skills, and qualifications of the selected candidate.
