Sr. Mechanical Maint. Eng.

JOB PURPOSE:

Implementation and monitoring of mechanical activities during maintenance of equipment and supervise for sub-ordinates (engineer, technicians and foremen)

Principal Accountabilities

• Study of technical drawings and reports to support, guide and improve the maintenance crew.
• Supervising the mechanical maintenance activities and instructing sub-ordinates to ensure work executed according to maintenance procedure.
• Use engineering computer software in generating work orders, reporting maintenance activities and modifying drawing needed example (Maximo, office and CAD). To improve and document maintenance activities.
• Recommends design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions based repeated failure history in the plant.
• Collecting required data and drawings for planned modifications and discuss proposal with team leader for approval. Collecting required data and drawings for planned modifications and discuss proposal with team leader for approval.
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew.
• Cooperating with workshop and inspection teams in fabricating mechanical parts by updating material and mechanical properties according to standards and code
• participate with other trades to develop overall maintenance plan by coordinating work plan and resources.
• Follow up JHA and work permit system (hot, cold, confined space) and participate in discussion of Risk Assessment, Lifting Plan and PSSR.
• Cost control for spare parts by make modification or fabricate spares at workshop and study spare part interchangeability between different equipment.
• Issue spare parts requisitions and technically study for quotations to ensure safe spare parts limits.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• B.Sc. degree in Mechanical engineering.
• Must have at least 7 years’ experience in Petrochemicals plants or related field.
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft office, especially in report writing (word processing), spreadsheets (Excel) and graphical presentation (e.g. PowerPoint)
• Very good command of the English language.
