Elevate Your HR Career at Fike

Human Resources Business Partner

Are you a strategic HR professional who thrives on coaching leaders, navigating complex employee relations, and shaping organizational culture? At Fike, our people are our strength. We are looking for an impactful Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team at our global headquarters in Blue Springs, MO.

In this hybrid role, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor to departmental leaders, translating business goals into actionable talent strategies, driving engagement, and serving as a champion for our culture. Operating under the direction of the Manager, HRBP, you will blend proactive talent partnership with hands-on support in employee relations, manager development, and workforce planning.

What You’ll Do (Primary Responsibilities)

  • Strategic Business Partnership: Serve as the primary HR point of contact for assigned leaders, conducting routine touchpoints to assess team health, drive workforce planning, and align talent strategies with business goals.

  • Manager Coaching & Leadership Development: Coach line managers on effective communication, conflict resolution, performance management, and leading through change.

  • Employee Relations & Investigations: Manage day-to-day workplace inquiries and conduct thorough, objective investigations into workplace concerns, policy interpretations, and interpersonal conflicts.

  • Performance Management: Facilitate annual and semi-annual performance review cycles. Guide managers in delivering impactful feedback, establishing aligned SMART goals, and developing targeted Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) when needed.

  • Engagement & Retention: Coordinate annual engagement survey rollouts, facilitate team debriefs, and partner with leadership to build actionable retention and engagement strategies. Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends to continuously improve our employee experience.

  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers to define staffing needs, refine job descriptions, participate in key interview panels, and co-lead virtual/physical New Hire Orientations.

  • Organization & Compensation Support: Validate business cases for promotions/out-of-cycle salary adjustments and support the rollout of Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) documentation.

  • Training & Development: Identify skills gaps within departments and support the delivery of targeted soft-skills and manager development workshops.

  • Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with corporate policies, federal/state employment laws, regulatory standards, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI / NIST 800-171) procedures.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Required:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

  • Experience: 3 to 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with heavy emphasis on direct employee relations, workplace investigations, and manager coaching.

  • Legal & HR Expertise: Thorough working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, compliance guidelines, and HR best practices.

  • Core Competencies: Proven experience conducting investigations, drafting performance management documentation, and exercising exceptional discretion in high-conflict situations.

  • Systems & Soft Skills: Proficiency with HRIS systems (e.g., SuccessFactors) and productivity software, coupled with outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).

  • Prior HR experience supporting manufacturing, engineering, or industrial operations environments.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $74,614 to $102,594 a year. May increase depending on the level of experience of the candidate.
