Finastra is a financial technology company created in 2017 by merging the British firm Misys with the Canadian company D+H, bringing together several decades of banking software under one owner. Its products span retail and corporate core banking, payments processing, lending and syndicated loan servicing, treasury and capital markets systems, and it operates an open platform that lets third-party developers build applications against those cores. Headquartered in London and owned by Vista Equity Partners, it serves thousands of financial institutions and has been divesting parts of its portfolio to concentrate on lending and payments.

Who are we?

At Finastra, we’re a global leader in financial services software, dedicated to expanding access to financial services and shaping what’s next for the industry. Our technology powers mission-critical solutions across Lending, Payments and Universal Banking, supporting over 7,000 customers, including 80% of the world’s top 50 banks, in more than 110 countries.

Disclaimer-

Finastra has signed an agreement to sell its Universal Banking business to Pollen Street Capital, with completion expected end 2026 / early 2027, subject to consultation and customary closing conditions. Upon completion, this role is expected to transition to the standalone Universal Banking business, creating opportunities to support its future growth and success.

As a Lead Solutions Consultant within Finastra’s APAC Global Solutions Consulting (GSC) team, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by delivering innovative, best-in-class banking solutions across the region. Reporting to the Head of APAC Global Solutions Consulting, you will serve as a trusted advisor to prospective and existing customers, leading complex presales engagements and shaping solution strategies aligned with client business objectives.

You will join a highly experienced global community of functional and technical experts, each bringing deep FinTech and banking domain knowledge gained across financial institutions, consulting firms, technology providers, and software vendors. Your regional team is supported by a 60-strong global enablement organization that manages technical and bid-related execution-allowing you to focus on high-value client engagement, solution leadership, and winning deals in the APAC market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the solution consulting lead for Finastra’s Universal Banking solutions, providing expert functional and technical presales support to prospective clients and existing customers.
  • Lead and shape large, complex, and strategic sales opportunities, designing integrated solutions that leverage multiple components across the Finastra portfolio.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Finastra Universal Core Banking solutions, clearly articulating value propositions at both solution and component levels.
  • Advise clients and internal stakeholders on end-to-end solution architecture, technology requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Facilitate customer understanding through presentations, demonstrations, workshops, benchmarks, and proof-of-concept activities throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Conduct discovery sessions to assess client needs, build credibility with senior stakeholders, and position Finastra solutions effectively to optimize deal outcomes.
  • Create and own solution design documentation, including architecture diagrams, data flows, application components, and functional content for RFI/RFP responses.
  • Lead opportunity bid management, owning the end-to-end solution proposal and coordinating internal teams to deliver high-quality, competitive submissions.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, product management, implementation, and support teams to ensure alignment and deliver winning solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell additional Finastra solutions to both new and existing customers.
  • Mentor and advise sales teams on business and technology best practices to ensure consistent, world-class solution delivery.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong client focus with high professional integrity and a consultative mindset.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; an advanced degree is highly desirable.
  • 8-15 years of experience in core banking solutions, gained through banks, consulting firms, or enterprise software providers.
  • Deep understanding of banking operations, including retail and commercial banking product lifecycles, accounting, and back-office operations.
  • Strong familiarity with APAC, Australia, and New Zealand banking models.
  • Proven experience in core banking system selection and/or implementation within a financial institution (highly advantageous).
  • In-depth knowledge of competitors and market dynamics within the core banking ecosystem.

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise in digital channels, including online and mobile banking, and awareness of market-driven innovation trends.
  • Prior experience in project management, system design, and application architecture is a plus.
