Snowflake Data Engineer

Main tasks

• Support the development and maintenance of Snowflake solutions within a cloud-based data analytics environment.
• Contribute to the implementation of change requests across Sales and Finance data domains.
• Analyse and model datasets using SQL and Snowflake.
• Translate business requirements into appropriate technical solutions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple projects, maintaining a value-generation mindset.
• Work effectively in an Agile environment, applying critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Organise and manage tasks effectively, using office productivity tools where appropriate.
• Collaborate with distributed teams and customers across different countries and time zones.
• Communicate and present technical information clearly to customers and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience working as a Snowflake Developer.
• Senior-level expertise in Snowflake.
• Experience with SQL, including dataset analysis and data modelling.
• Junior-level knowledge of dbt, with a willingness to continue learning and developing expertise.
• Ability to discuss business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Consulting experience with a value-generation mindset.
• Experience working across multiple projects.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good organisational skills.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies, such as Scrum.
• Advanced written and verbal communication and presentation skills, particularly in customer-facing roles.

Nice to have

• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Further knowledge of dbt.
• Knowledge of Agile frameworks.
