Senior QA Engineer

Main tasks

• Define test cases, test plans and test strategies based on business requirements and user stories
• Plan and coordinate QA activities within the team, ensuring high-quality software deliveries
• Perform functional, exploratory, manual, API and UI testing across web and back-office applications
• Design, maintain and contribute to automated test suites, promoting test automation best practices
• Test REST APIs using tools such as Postman and validate application behaviour across integrated systems
• Identify, document, prioritise and track software defects, supporting root cause analysis and resolution
• Collaborate closely with development, product and business teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Improve QA processes, methodologies and automation practices to ensure quality, consistency and compliance with standards
• Track QA metrics and provide insights to support continuous improvement and delivery quality
• Mentor QA team members, share knowledge and promote a quality-first mindset across the organisation
• Evaluate and leverage AI to optimise QA processes and functional testing activities

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, QA Analyst or similar role
• Proven experience leading QA activities across multiple production deliveries
• Strong experience with functional, manual, exploratory, API and UI testing
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs using Postman
• Experience creating test cases, test plans and test strategies
• Experience documenting, managing and validating software defects
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing techniques and industry best practices
• Experience with Jira (or similar tools) and Oracle Database
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile environments
• Good written and spoken English

• Experience with Selenium and/or JMeter
• Experience contributing to test automation frameworks
• Experience using AI to improve QA processes and functional testing
• Knowledge of AI-driven regression automation for end-to-end testing
• Experience mentoring junior QA professionals or leading QA initiatives
