About Finta
Finta is building the finance platform startups should have had from day one.
Today that means AI-native accounting and taxes. We replace the bookkeeper and QuickBooks with software that categorizes 96% of transactions automatically and files a tax return in about thirty minutes.
We raised $2M from Y Combinator, Mercury’s CEO, and leaders at Mercury, Brex, and Ramp. Since launching in 2023, we have grown entirely through word of mouth to 600+ customers, including Resend, Onyx, Promptfoo, and Skyvern. Revenue has tripled every year, and we are profitable.
We did all of that with no salespeople and no marketing. Now we are building GTM.
We are a small, high-caliber team with a bias for shipping. There are no layers here. You’ll work directly with Andy, the founder, who writes the code and holds the tax license that signs every return we file. In a category this technical, sitting next to him is how you learn to sell it in weeks instead of quarters.
This is a founding role. We work together in person 5 days a week in San Francisco, near the Ferry Building, and expect people to take ownership without needing a lot of structure.
About the role
We’re hiring a Founding Account Executive to build Finta’s outbound sales motion from scratch.
There is no playbook, territory, or SDR team to inherit. How Finta sells gets decided in your first six months, and what you build becomes the playbook the next reps ramp on.
You’ll sell to founders, controllers, and heads of finance at venture-backed companies, from seed-stage startups to companies running a finance team in house.
What you’ll do
- Build the outbound engine end to end: target lists, messaging, sequences, discovery, demos, and close
- Run the trial motion. Prospects get one full month-end close on Finta for free to compare against what they have today, and your job is getting them to that close
- Sell the whole account. Accounting is the subscription, and taxes and R&D credits attach to every customer
- Multi-thread deals in the tens of thousands through founders, controllers, heads of finance, and CFOs
- Bring what you hear on calls back into the product. Andy ships daily and will often build what you need to close the same week you ask
- Document what works so the next reps don’t start from zero
You’ll be a good fit if you
- Are a proven hunter who generates your own pipeline and treats outbound as math. You know your conversion rate at every step from activity to close
- Have carried a real number and hit it, with deals in the tens of thousands
- Have sold without infrastructure: no manager, no playbook, no marketing, no SDR, and you hit your number anyway
- Already run an AI-native GTM stack (Apollo, Outreach, Nooks, Clay) and use Claude or ChatGPT every day
- Want to earn. Commission is uncapped with real accelerators
- Are comfortable selling a product that is still being built, and sell honestly when you find a gap
- Are excited to become deeply credible on startup accounting and taxes
You should not join Finta if
- You need an SDR team, marketing leads, or a proven playbook to hit your number
- You want to work a territory someone else built
- You prefer inbound to outbound
- You’re tired of in-person work and want a remote job
- You are not excited about AI or what it means for how sales works
