About the Role:
You will support and optimize mission-critical AddVantage environments that enable asset management and trust accounting operations. In this role, you will ensure system availability, performance, reliability, and security across customer environments while resolving complex technical challenges. You will partner with infrastructure, network, security, and support teams to deliver operational excellence and continuous improvement. Success is measured through platform stability, incident resolution, automation outcomes, and customer satisfaction.
About the team:
The AddVantage Technical Support team provides 24x7 operational and technical support for FIS AddVantage, a real-time, browser-based solution supporting asset management and trust accounting functions. AddVantage environments primarily run on Microsoft Windows platforms and leverage InterSystems Caché databases. These systems are hosted either within FIS data centers or at customer-managed locations.
The team is responsible for ensuring high availability, performance, security, and operational excellence across customer environments while providing expert support for business-critical applications and infrastructure.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise application environments running on Microsoft Windows Server platforms.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability to ensure reliable service delivery.
- Investigate and resolve complex application, infrastructure, and production incidents.
- Design and implement automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Plan and execute operating system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure enhancements.
- Support and troubleshoot database-related issues impacting application performance and stability.
- Develop and maintain scripts, automated workflows, and job scheduling processes.
- Monitor and resolve issues involving batch processing, file transfers, and scheduled operations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, network, security, vendors, and customer teams to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Contribute to incident, problem, and change management activities while driving continuous service improvements.
- Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and mentorship to team members.
- Coordinate and support projects impacting customer environments, ensuring successful implementation and minimal operational disruption.
Required Qualifications
- Experience administering and supporting Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in production or customer-facing environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills across application, system, and infrastructure layers.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, network infrastructure, and diagnostic methodologies.
- Experience with secure file transfer technologies, including SFTP, FTPS, and related protocols.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, network engineering, security, and application support.
- Experience managing technical initiatives from planning through implementation.
- Experience administering and supporting Microsoft IIS environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- You will participate in a rotating on-call support schedule, typically one week per month, including weekend coverage. During on-call periods, team members provide support for critical issues outside normal business hours to ensure the continued availability of customer environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with InterSystems Caché or InterSystems IRIS databases.
- Familiarity with Tidal Workload Automation or similar enterprise scheduling platforms.
- Experience supporting IBM Sterling Connect: Direct in Windows environments.
- Experience developing PowerShell scripts and infrastructure automation solutions.
- Knowledge of enterprise monitoring, operational support, and workload scheduling practices.
- Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace, Zabbix, and Splunk.
- Experience with software deployment and release automation tools such as Octopus Deploy.
