We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Hunua team as an entry-levelMachine Operator. In this role, you will produce masonry blocks to specification, ensuring consistent levels of quality as per the plant’s production schedule.
Shift Details - PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING
- Rotating Shifts: One week on day shift, the next week on night shift
- Day Shift: 4:00am to 2:00pm (may extend to 12 hours and include Saturday morning work)
- Night Shift: 2:00pm to Midnight (may extend to 12 hours)
Important: The rolling shift schedule is a significant aspect of this role. Please apply only if you are comfortable with this schedule and it fits within your lifestyle.
What We Can Offer:
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week
- Time and a half for all work performed after 50 hours

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machinery to produce masonry blocks as per specifications
- Maintain consistent quality in line with the production schedule
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient production
- Adhere to health and safety standards to keep yourself and others safe
What We Are Looking For:
- Excellent and clear communication skills to facilitate efficient discussions within the team
- Mechanically minded with a background in manufacturing is a bonus
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn not only the basics of machine production but in time other elements onsite, including block machine and loader operations
- Forklift license is an extra bonus
- High level of health and safety awareness to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and those around you
