The Opportunity
Flexport is a technology-driven freight forwarding company on a mission to make global trade easy for everyone. By combining logistics expertise with cutting-edge software, we've built a unique value proposition that has fueled exponential growth over the past 10 years. Now, we are expanding our presence in Thailand.
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced and well-connected sales executive to take the driver's seat in building and scaling Flexport Thailand, growing the business aggressively, and leaving your mark in the market. You will join a small, motivated team that is equally excited to grow Flexport's presence in Thailand and solve customer challenges with tech-enabled freight forwarding solutions.
What You'll Do
- Drive new business growth for Flexport Thailand by identifying, prospecting, and closing high-potential clients
- Own the full sales cycle end-to-end - from outbound prospecting and discovery through to proposal, negotiation, and close
- Consult with prospective clients to understand their supply chain needs and pain points, translating these into tailored, value-driven solutions
- Showcase Flexport's capabilities through compelling virtual and in-person meetings and presentations
- Own and consistently exceed personal new business sales targets through a strategic, disciplined approach
- Lead a smooth handover to onboarding, coordinating with internal teams to set new clients up for success
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders and create feedback loops to keep offerings aligned with evolving client needs
- Represent Flexport's value proposition in market, identifying and pursuing growth opportunities beyond your immediate remit
- Contribute to a high-growth, hands-on team as an early hire, you'll be expected to teach as much as you learn and fill gaps outside your core role
What You'll Need
- At least 5-8 years' experience in business development within the freight forwarding or logistics domain
- Proven hunting sales experience, with a track record of independently generating and closing new business
- Established customer pipeline and network, ideally with an Intra-Asia focus
- Experience Enthusiasm for cold-calling prospects, leading discovery calls to uncover client needs, and managing accounts to create an outstanding client experience
- Professional proficiency in Thai and English is required
- Adaptability to quickly learn and adopt AI-powered tools and internal platforms
- Fast learning ability, a strong work ethic, and a drive to grow into a top-performing sales leader in the country
- Solution-oriented selling skills
