We have a strong team of Engineering Directors, Technical Program Managers, Functional Leads, Product Managers, Principal Engineers, Architects, and Software Engineers across our Digital Experience Engineering, Lending Platform Engineering, Foundational Platforms (Originations, Customer Servicing, Receivables, Billing, Payments, Collections, Securitization etc.), Cloud/DevX/Enterprise Testing & SRE/Automation, Architecture and Research, AI/MLOps & Analytics/Data Engineering practices who are supporting, managing our financial systems/applications & leading various IT Modernization and transformation programs delivery initiatives across the NA/EU/China/Mexico/Canada markets.
As a Software Engineer working in Ford Credit Tech, you will join a team that develop invoicing and billing products using Spring boot Microservices with Java, deploy on GCP platform with Postgresql as database. You will be collaborating closely and continuously with fellow engineers, designers and product owners to build, validate and release innovative software products early and often. You will continuously learn and mentor fellow team members while focusing on delivery of quality enterprise solutions.

Work Hours: between 11.30 AM and 9 PM IST
- Developing exceptional user experiences with backend APIs using frameworks such as Spring Boot and Microservices
- Apply AI-assisted and agentic AI tools to accelerate code generation, improve code review quality, automate development workflows, and support spec-driven development
- Continuously identify opportunities to enhance engineering productivity through the responsible adoption of AI-driven software engineering practices
- Ensure all AI-assisted contributions result in secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions consistent with team and organizational engineering standards
- Validate and release applications using continuous integration and continuous delivery tools
- Work in collaborative environment including pairing and mobbing with other cross-functional engineers
- Work on a small agile team to deliver working, tested software
- Work effectively with technical product manager, product owners, product designers, and other technical experts
- Work on a team focused on delivering Available, Testable, and Portable solutions using Domain Driven Design, CQRS, Hexagonal Architecture, and Event Driven Architecture
- Take time to continuously learn and share with peers
- Act as a mentor for less-experienced peers through technical knowledge/leadership skills and advocate for technical excellence
- 5+ years of professional software development experience using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices
- At least 2+ years of experience in Google Cloud Platform
- Proven experience applying AI-assisted and agentic AI software engineering practices to accelerate code generation, improve code review quality, and automate development workflows
- Familiarity with spec-driven development practices and the ability to translate requirements into structured, AI-assisted implementation plans
- Solid understanding of secure coding, software design, and engineering best practices, with the ability to critically assess AI-generated code for correctness, security, and maintainability
- Have used continuous integration/continuous delivery tools and pipelines (e.g., Tekton, Cloud Build, Gradle, Kubernetes etc.)
- Alerting and Monitoring experience with Cloud Monitoring/Dynatrace/Splunk etc.
- Unit testing and Mocking frameworks experience
- Relational and NoSQL database experience
- Proficiency with RESTful API standards/tools
- Iterative development (Agile methodology) experience
