Freedom Consulting Group is an American technology services company that works almost entirely for United States intelligence and defence customers. Its engineers build and operate cloud infrastructure, data platforms, software and cybersecurity systems inside classified environments, with a particular concentration in Amazon Web Services work for the intelligence community. Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland with offices in northern Virginia, it employs cleared staff almost exclusively, which is both the barrier to entry in its market and the constraint on how quickly it can grow.

What if your next Pega opportunity could take your career beyond traditional application development and put your work directly in support of the nation's most critical national security missions?

We're looking for an experienced Pega Developer to join a team supporting the Intelligence Community where enterprise technology, cybersecurity, and mission operations come together. You'll work on applications and business systems that support thousands of government personnel and mission partners across secure environments - helping enable everything from workforce management and recruitment to security processing, finance, acquisitions, training, logistics, and executive decision-making.

And if you don't already hold a clearance, that's no problem. For the right Pega professional, we will support you through the process of obtaining a  Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with Polygraph.  This is an opportunity to bring the Pega expertise you've built in the commercial world into an environment where the technology you develop supports something bigger than the bottom line.

For a Pega Developer who wants to apply their technical expertise to something bigger, this is an opportunity to help power the enterprise systems that keep our nation's security mission moving. Your work will help equip the federal workforce, enable critical government operations, support the warfighter, and strengthen the technology infrastructure behind our national security. Bring your Pega expertise to a mission where reliable, secure technology helps protect the national and the people who defend it.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the development, sustainment, modernization, and enhancement of Pega applications and related enterprise solutions.
  • Design, develop, configure, and test Pega applications and business processes in accordance with customer requirements, Pega best practices, and enterprise development standards.
  • Develop and maintain integrations between Pega and external enterprise applications utilizing REST, APIs and other integration technologies.
  • Perform application configuration, unit and integration testing, defect resolution, software deployment, and production support activities throughout the application lifecycle.
  • Support automated testing and deployment capabilities, including PegaUnit, Selenium, CI/CD pipelines, Pega Deployment Manager, Jenkins, or similar tools and technologies.
  • Support application upgrades, patches, migrations, releases, and modernization efforts, including configuration and code changes where required.
  • Troubleshoot complex application, integration, performance, and production issues and identify opportunities to improve application scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
  • Apply security best practices within Pega applications and support activities related to vulnerability identification, remediation, compliance, and secure application development.
  • Support software developer lifecycle practices, including version control, branching strategies, continuous integration and deployment, automated testing, and release management.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including application configurations, solution designs, integration specifications, deployment procedures, test documentation, and operational support documentation.
  • Conduct peer reviews, contribute to development standards and best practices, and share technical knowledge with other team members.
  • Work directly with commercial software vendors to troubleshoot product issues, evaluate new capabilities, coordinate upgrades, and implement vendor-provided solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience developing, configuring, implementing, and supporting Pega applications.
  • Willing and able to obtain a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance.
  • Must be willing to work on site in Annapolis Junction, MD.
  • Strong knowledge of the Pega Platform and experience building model-driven, enterprise-level business applications and workflows.
  • Experience with Pega application integrations, including the data transformation and mapping.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and DevOps practices, including version control, branching strategies, continuous integration and deployment, automated testing, and release management.
  • Experience troubleshooting Pega applications in cloud or enterprise infrastructure environments.
  • Experience producing clear technical documentation and applying development, configuration, security and testing standards.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to evolving technical and mission requirements.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Pega certification is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
