About the Role
We are seeking experienced Technical Writers to contribute expert-level evaluation and training data for advanced AI systems.
In this role, you will apply your technical writing expertise to review, create, and rank documentation designed to help AI models explain complex technical systems clearly, accurately, and effectively.
You will evaluate AI-generated API references, how-to guides, release notes, and user documentation for accuracy, structure, clarity, and adherence to documentation best practices. You will also create expert demonstrations based on your own professional experience.
The work is fully remote and asynchronous, allowing you to choose when and how much you work.

- Create expert demonstrations of: API references

- User documentation
- Develop documentation examples based on your own professional technical writing practice.
- Rank and label AI-generated responses against established documentation best practices.
- Identify unclear explanations, structural problems, inaccuracies, and other documentation quality issues.
- Provide clear and structured evaluations of AI-generated documentation.

Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional technical writing experience.
- Portfolio demonstrating documentation you have owned, such as: API documentation
- Technical guides
- Manuals
- Release notes
- Ability to explain complex technical systems clearly and accurately.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to evaluate technical documentation objectively for accuracy, structure, and clarity.
- Ability to identify weaknesses in AI-generated technical explanations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software, API, or developer documentation.
- Fluency with docs-as-code workflows, including: Markdown
- Git
- Static site generators
- STC certification.
- Technical degree.
