This is an opportunity to step into a critical technical leadership role driving plant-level design, integration, and execution across complex power projects. The Senior Plant Systems Leader is a key technical leadership role managing Plant Operability and Design, Plant Performance, Plant P&IDs, and Mechanical Systems and Equipment engineering for GE Vernova scope in customer projects. The role is focused on leading design activities, driving system integration, and managing interfaces across engineering teams, product organizations, external partners, EPCs, suppliers, and customers.The ideal candidate will serve as System Interface Owner, leading order-to-remittance (OTR) design activities, manage technical interfaces, and drive high-quality engineering execution across the project lifecycle - from proposal through design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. This role is critical to reducing execution risk, improving change management, and ensuring customer and contractual requirements are translated into effective plant-level solutions.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead plant operability and design, plant performance, plant P&IDs, and plant mechanical systems and equipment engineering for GE Vernova’s scope in the project.
- System Interface Owner for plant mechanical systems integration and ensure alignment across design, operability, performance, safety, and contractual requirements.
- Ensure the maturity of project contractual deliverables prior to release through proactive coordination with all involved parties and anticipation of possible changes from internal and external interfaces.
- Organize and lead system design reviews and technical reviews to ensure engineering quality and compliance with project requirements.
- Own technical change management across the project lifecycle, including Design Change Requests, cross-system impact assessment, and communication of changes to stakeholders.
- Partner with the project team in contract review, schedule alignment, engineering planning, procurement coordination, and customer deliverables for the assigned scope.
- Support construction, commissioning, and site issue resolution as required, including timely closure of engineering issues within scope.
- Provide ideas and contribute to continuous product and process quality improvement initiatives, including maintainability, modularization, reliability, compliance, and execution efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience.
- Relevant experience in systems engineering of combined cycle, simple cycle, or large thermal power plants.
- Deep technical knowledge of the various systems forming a power plant and strong understanding of their operating principles, design fundamentals, and interfaces.
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering activities in project execution, concept development, and/or tender support for large power projects.
- Demonstrated ability to manage technical interfaces and drive cross-functional issue resolution in a global matrix environment.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between 113 200,00 - 151 000,00 - 188 800,00 USD Annual.The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: 15%
