Job Description
What You'll Do
- Lead customer-facing technical engagement - present GE Vernova's Grid Automation offerings, gather feedback on product gaps, and influence solution development to exceed market expectations.
- Execute and support engineering design - apply sound engineering principles to the design, analysis, and evaluation of substation protection and control (PAC) systems, ensuring compliance with business standards and program requirements.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration - act as the technical bridge between Central Product Lines, Regional Sales, Tendering, and Application teams, as well as Channel Partners and customers.
- Develop and communicate technical solutions - recommend approaches to meet technical and program requirements, prepare action plans to resolve issues, and support approval of new solutions that grow market share.
- Contribute to technical reviews - present at and participate in internal and external program reviews, ensuring proper documentation of all technical outputs.
- Build and sustain customer relationships - cultivate trust through technical credibility, consistent communication, and a focus on long-term partnership rather than transactional engagement.

Required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field - or equivalent professional experience in lieu of a formal degree.
- Significant experience in a relevant engineering role, with a strong track record in substation automation, protection systems, and industrial communication protocols.
- Hands-on expertise across the full project lifecycle: design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of High Voltage (HV) or Medium Voltage (MV) Substation Automation Systems (SAS) and Protection systems.
- Strong working knowledge of IEC 61850, Substation Digital Control Systems, protection fundamentals, and Remote Terminal Units (RTUs).
- Fluency in both spoken and written English and Cantonese.
Preferred
- Familiarity with the CEAP (China, East Asia & Pacific) market landscape and customer ecosystem.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of working time, primarily within the CEAP region with occasional global travel.
- Experience engaging with Channel Partners and navigating complex multi-stakeholder customer environments.
