Then join GEA and combine hands-on installation work with planning, coordination and continuous improvement.

At our office in Skanderborg, you will join the Project Execution function within GEA Liquid Technologies. The team works closely across disciplines, bringing together mechanical engineering, process knowledge, project management and procurement to ensure that each project is executed with high technical quality and strong coordination.

You will work closely with the Project Manager, Quality and HSE Managers and the Site Management. Your wider network will include engineering teams, customer representatives, customer contractors and subcontractors.Your role involves supporting the Sales, Planning and Installation phase of a project where required.

You will be the main point of contact for resolving issues on site, as you negotiate and align stakeholder priorities and involve local consultants and authorities as required.

Between site assignments, you will prepare upcoming installations by assessing material needs, arranging logistics and supporting contractor selection through audits, User Requirement Specifications (URS), requests for quotation (RFQs) and purchase orders. During tendering, you will provide assembly cost estimates to the sales team.

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead assembly teams and subcontractors, allocate resources, and manage deliveries, material handling and the availability of equipment and site supplies.
  • Define a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), establish activity sequences and schedules, and monitor progress while coordinating customer interfaces and finalizing design details with engineering teams.
  • Ensure assembly work meets company standards, enforce contractual and health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements, and hand over a SAT-approved plant to the commissioning engineers.
  • Prepare and maintain site documentation, record labour hours, monitor costs against the budget, and report on progress using methods such as Earned Value Management (EVM), as well as HSE performance and financial forecasts.
  • Alert the Project Manager to risks and deviations, estimate assembly hours and revise plans for change orders, manage non-conformity reports and site audits, inspect building readiness, and capture lessons learned and improvement suggestions.
  • Supervise installation work at customer sites, contribute technical input through reviews of 3D models and documentation, and take part in inspections or supervision at selected workshops.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to optimise site processes, documentation and supplier quality practices.
  • Adapt to new standards and technologies to maintain high-quality project delivery.

Your Profile / Qualifications

You have demonstrated your ability to lead subcontractors, adapt your approach to local cultures, and maintain motivation and team spirit across nationalities. When circumstances change, you take action and find a practical way forward, communicating effectively both face to face and within remote and virtual project teams.

Finally, we imagine that you:

  • Have experience in site assembly or installation supervision, alongside experience in project delivery and developing or improving assembly practices.
  • Hold a technical qualification or have completed vocational training in mechanical engineering or piping installation, with practical experience in piping design and installation, lifting operations and heavy equipment handling.
  • Have experience in the dairy or food processing industry and knowledge of hygienic design, mechanical installation, welding supervision and sanitary weld quality procedures, together with the ability to work with risk assessments, KPIs, cost estimation and productivity analysis.
