Gen Digital is the consumer cybersecurity company formed in 2022 when NortonLifeLock merged with the Czech antivirus firm Avast, bringing together several of the best known security brands sold to individuals. Its portfolio spans Norton, Avast, AVG, Avira, LifeLock identity protection, the CCleaner utility and, since 2025, the consumer finance app MoneyLion, all sold as subscriptions rather than through enterprise contracts. Headquartered jointly in Tempe, Arizona and Prague and listed on Nasdaq, it serves several hundred million users and competes for consumer attention rather than for corporate security budgets.

About Engine

Engine is GEN Digital’s embedded marketplace platform, helping partners acquire, engage, and monetize users through personalized financial experiences. Engine powers search, comparison, recommendation, and checkout experiences across financial products, with flexible implementation options ranging from hosted partner pages and embeds to APIs and SDKs.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Head of Product Marketing to lead product marketing for Engine. This leader will define how Engine is positioned in the market, bring new marketplace capabilities and verticals to market, sharpen our story for partners and providers, and help turn product innovation into measurable revenue growth.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role at the intersection of product, sales, partnerships, growth, analytics, and brand. You will own positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, launch excellence, sales enablement, and market intelligence for Engine’s platform and solutions. You will help translate a complex, data-driven, multi-sided marketplace into clear value for financial institutions, distribution partners, and end users.

The ideal candidate combines strategic storytelling with operational rigor, understands how to market platform and marketplace products, and knows how to drive adoption in a regulated, performance-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do

Own product marketing strategy for Engine

· Define the product marketing vision, priorities, and operating model for Engine.

· Build the positioning and messaging architecture for Engine’s platform, solutions, and key verticals.

· Clarify Engine’s value proposition across multiple audiences, including financial institutions, marketplace partners, publishers, fintechs, and internal stakeholders.

· Establish a clear narrative for how Engine differentiates through data, personalization, conversion, flexible integrations, and marketplace scale.

Lead go-to-market for new products, capabilities, and verticals

· Partner with Product, BD, and Strategy teams to bring new capabilities to market.

· Develop launch strategies for new experiences, integrations, partner-facing features, and monetization products.

· Shape GTM plans for emerging areas such as checkout experiences, insurance and quote flows, and other marketplace expansions.

· Ensure launches include audience strategy, packaging, messaging, enablement, measurement, and adoption plans.

Drive commercial impact

· Create sales and partnership enablement materials that improve how Engine is sold.

· Equip revenue teams with pitch decks, one-pagers, competitive battlecards, case studies, ROI stories, objection handling, and launch communications.

· Partner with Sales and Partnerships to improve win rates, shorten sales cycles, and increase expansion within existing accounts.

· Help define packaging and commercialization approaches that align product value with partner needs and revenue outcomes.

Turn product complexity into simple, compelling stories

· Translate marketplace mechanics, data assets, matching intelligence, checkout flows, analytics, and compliance strengths into messaging that resonates.

· Build differentiated narratives for both platform-level and solution-level offerings.

· Develop use-case stories that connect Engine capabilities to business outcomes such as conversion, monetization, retention, and customer engagement.

Own market, customer, and competitive intelligence

· Build a deep understanding of customer needs, competitor positioning, and market shifts across embedded finance, affiliate/marketplace models, fintech infrastructure, and adjacent partner ecosystems.

· Bring structured voice-of-customer insights into roadmap and GTM decisions.

Partner deeply across the organization

· Work closely with Product to influence roadmap based on customer, market, and competitive insights.

· Partner with Growth, Analytics, and Commercial teams to define launch KPIs and assess in-market performance.

· Collaborate with Brand and Content to ensure consistency across thought leadership, events, website, partner materials, and outbound campaigns.

· Build strong alignment across executive leadership on market narrative and strategic priorities.

Build the function

· Hire, develop, and lead a high-performing product marketing team over time.

· Establish core product marketing processes, templates, launch governance, and planning rhythms.

· Create a culture of sharp thinking, fast learning, strong execution, and measurable outcomes.

What Success Looks Like

· Engine has a clear, differentiated market narrative that is understood internally and externally.

· New products and verticals launch with strong adoption, enablement, and measurable commercial impact.

· Sales and Partnerships have best-in-class materials that improve conversion and confidence in-market.

· Product roadmap decisions are better informed by customer insight, market dynamics, and competitive context.

· Engine’s story is cohesive across platform capabilities, partner solutions, and vertical-specific offerings.

· Product marketing is a strategic driver of revenue, adoption, and category leadership.

Qualifications

· 10+ years of experience in product marketing, go-to-market, or related strategy roles, with meaningful leadership experience.

· Experience in fintech, embedded finance, marketplaces, SaaS platforms, performance marketing ecosystems, or other complex multi-sided businesses.

· Proven track record launching and scaling products that require strong cross-functional coordination.

· Strong experience with positioning, messaging, packaging, and sales enablement.

· Ability to understand technical and data-driven products and translate them into customer-facing value.

· Experience partnering closely with Product, Sales, Partnerships, and Executive teams.

· Strong analytical orientation with comfort using performance data to inform strategy and iteration.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling.

· Experience working in regulated categories or environments with compliance considerations is strongly preferred.

· People leadership experience, including building teams and operating mechanisms, is preferred.

Preferred Experience

· B2B2C or platform business model experience.

· Experience marketing marketplace products.

· Experience across financial product categories such as lending, cards, savings, insurance, or adjacent consumer-finance products.

· Familiarity with partner ecosystems, monetization models, attribution, and funnel optimization.

· Experience supporting both enterprise sales motions and partner adoption motions.

Why This Role Matters

Engine sits at the center of how partners discover, integrate, and monetize financial products. The Head of Product Marketing will play a critical role in defining the category, accelerating adoption, and ensuring Engine’s innovation translates into clear market leadership and business results.
