General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), an affiliate of General Atomics, is a world leader in proven, reliable remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance radars, as well as advanced high-resolution surveillance systems.
The Resilient ISR Capabilities organization in Poway, California, develops and integrates resilient, interoperable Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission capabilities for contested and dynamic operational environments. These capabilities span mission systems, systems-of-systems architectures, trusted multi-modal data fusion, tactical networks, datalinks, communications resilience, and autonomy.
The ISR Capability Project Engineer will lead integrated systems-of-systems development, including architecture definition, functional decomposition, mission-thread development, system integration, and delivery of operational ISR capabilities. This individual will collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams, program leadership, customers, and external partners to develop solutions that support air-domain, maritime and littoral, persistent multi-INT, distributed ISR, and ISR-enabled operational support missions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the architecture, definition, integration, verification, and deployment of complex ISR systems-of-systems.
- Develop and maintain system-of-systems architectures, operational concepts, functional architectures, interface definitions, and mission-thread models.
- Translate mission needs, operational concepts, and customer requirements into integrated technical solutions and executable engineering plans.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across systems engineering, software, hardware, sensors, communications, networking, cybersecurity, autonomy, and mission operations.
- Drive end-to-end mission-thread development across task and orchestrate, collect and detect, correlate and fuse, distribute and share, and decide, direct, and employ functions.
- Coordinate the integration of ISR capabilities, including radar, SIGINT/ESM, electro-optical/infrared, full-motion video, AIS/ADS-B, resilient positioning, navigation and timing, and other mission sensors.
- Develop solutions for multi-source data correlation, tracking, fusion, dissemination, data assurance, provenance, and confidence management.
