Basic Qualifications
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES:

As an Advanced Systems Engineer for Strategic Weapon Control, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for coordinating development of a subsystem upgrade to a submarine Fire Control System.

- Fire Control Systems (FCS) experience
- System requirements; documentation management, testing, verification, and validation
- Systems Design and Development including Hardware and software integration; planning, testing, troubleshooting, and report generation
- Engineering leadership; excellent communication and presentation skills, cross-discipline engineering knowledge, design review package generation, and developing customer intimacy
- Introducing and managing modernization technical initiatives by integrating complex technical scope across a team with varying technical goals
- Generating white papers for informing the strategic community about the introduction of new technologies
- Mentoring engineering leaders across technical and project management topics
