Define and maintain standards, guidelines, and reference architectures for the IBM i platform
Design and implement high-availability (HA), disaster recovery (DR), and resiliency solutions for enterprise environments
Lead platform modernization efforts and integration with modern and cloud-based systems
Ensure security controls, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness across the IBM i ecosystem
Perform capacity planning and continuously optimize system performance
Promote automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reliability
Manage vendor relationships and contribute to platform roadmap planning
Engage with senior stakeholders and leadership to communicate technical strategies and platform direction
Oversee the full lifecycle management of the IBM i platform, including upgrades and decommissioning

Technical Skills

Strong expertise in enterprise-level IBM i (AS400) architecture
Experience designing and managing IBM Power Systems environments
In-depth knowledge of HA/DR solutions and cyber-resilience strategies
Familiarity with automation tools and operational frameworks
Understanding of security policies, governance models, and compliance standards
Experience integrating IBM i platforms with cloud and modern application ecosystems

Experience

Minimum 3+ years of experience working with IBM i (AS400) platforms or related enterprise systems
