Senior Software Engineer

The Senior Software Engineer is a critical role responsible for taking ownership of critical backend services that power GetGo's carsharing platform - driving reliability, performance, and engineering excellence across a modern microservices stack on AWS/GCP.

• Own the overall health, stability, and high availability of assigned services with minimal guidance to meet defined quality standards.
• Monitor service metrics and identify bottlenecks, implementing optimizations to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Regularly identify and propose solutions for improvements within your area of work to enhance system performance and developer experience.
• Collaborate with Tech Leads and the SRE team to review changes, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and proactive issue detection.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and conduct root cause analysis to implement preventive measures and avoid recurrence.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, participating in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
• Document service operations and troubleshooting procedures to ensure knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
