About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Application Support Engineer to join Global-e’s Technical Support team.
This is a hands-on technical support role for an experienced engineer with a strong background in system integrations, APIs, web technologies, and complex e-commerce environments.
You will work with some of the world’s leading global brands, taking ownership of complex technical issues across their integration with Global-e. You will investigate issues end-to-end, understand how different systems interact, identify root causes, and work closely with merchant technical teams, Product, R&D, and Operations to drive issues through to resolution.
We are looking for someone who goes beyond resolving individual support tickets - someone who can understand the complete technical picture and use their integration experience to troubleshoot complex production issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Own and resolve complex technical support cases related to Global-e’s platform and merchant integrations.
- Troubleshoot issues end-to-end using APIs, logs, databases, network traffic, configurations, and system behavior.
- Understand merchant architectures and the interaction between e-commerce platforms, Global-e, payment, order management, fulfilment, and third-party systems.
- Work directly with merchant technical teams to investigate issues, explain findings, and drive resolution.
- Identify, reproduce, and document product defects and work closely with R&D and Product on resolution.
- Participate in critical incident investigation and resolution, helping identify root causes and restore service quickly.
- Identify recurring issues and opportunities to improve monitoring, tooling, processes, and documentation.
- Share technical knowledge and best practices across the Technical Support team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Technical Support, Application Support, Integration Engineering, Implementation, or a similar technical role.
- Strong experience with system integrations and troubleshooting complex, multi-system environments.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, SQL, and tools such as Postman.
- Strong understanding of web technologies, system integrations, and data flows.
- Experience analyzing logs, API traffic, databases, and system behavior to identify root causes.
- Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Magento/Adobe Commerce, or similar is highly desirable.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Coralogix, Splunk, or similar is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and ownership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.
