This role will be part of Global Payments Software & Services entity in Croatia.

What you’ll own

• Develop and maintain front end and back end application features, delivering high quality code in partnership with business and technology teams.
• Create and enhance software solutions by designing, coding, and supporting program specifications for projects and production issues.
• Analyze, test, and validate code changes, ensuring reliable application performance and accurate technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, implementing corrective actions and escalating alternative solutions when needed.
• Apply development best practices, methodologies, and security standards, including PCI compliance requirements, to deliver secure and scalable solutions.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.
• 4+ years of experience in software development, including coding, application design, and data analysis.
• Experience working with modern programming languages, APIs, external services, and both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to test, troubleshoot, and optimize software solutions.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to contribute across the software development lifecycle, from design and development through testing and support.
• Additional experience in enterprise software development environments and development lifecycle tools is a plus.

It’s a bonus if you have

• Experience working with enterprise operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS/RHEL, Amazon Linux, Microsoft Windows, z/OS, or Tandem/HP NonStop.
• Database experience with Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, IMS, DB2, or Hadoop, including database design and working knowledge of DDL and DML.
• Exposure to back-end technologies such as Java, Python, .NET, Ruby, Mainframe COBOL, or Mainframe Assembler.
• Experience with front-end and web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, jQuery, CICS, Node.js, React.js, Angular, and Redux.
• Familiarity with development tools and emerging technologies such as Eclipse, Visual Studio, Webpack, Babel, Gulp, mobile development (iOS, Android), or machine learning technologies including Python, R, MATLAB, TensorFlow, and D
