Position Purpose:
As an Outside Contract Sales Representative, you will be instrumental in driving sales by managing relationships with commercial clients, understanding their project needs, and providing tailored building materials solutions. Your role will involve effective communication, collaboration with external partners, and achieving sales targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide superior customer service. Draft project quotes, enter delivery orders, place special orders, and assist in purchasing. Build strong customer relationships through jobsite visits, reliable call backs, follow-up on deliveries. Awareness of project timeline to foresee material needs. Follow sales leads by reviewing Trade Publications/Notices and attend Sales Team meetings to grow your business. Be a source of knowledge and willing to learn about new building materials. Participate in quarterly inventory counts. Take pride in your work environment, keeping your work area/vehicle clean and presentable. Respect and obey safety policies and procedures in our yard and on jobsites. All other duties as directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
A broad knowledge of building supplies is necessary. Building code and best building practices knowledge an asset Valid Driver's license with clean abstract Available to work a variety of hours including weekends. Competitive spirit and results driven. Computer skills - Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel Able to multi-task and prioritize. Self-motivated and detail orientated. A positive can-do attitude is essential!
