Are you a finance professional who enjoys combining accuracy with continuous improvement? Do you thrive in an international environment where you can collaborate across functions while ensuring high-quality financial operations? If so, you could be the RTR Accountant (Fixed Assets) we're looking for.

In the role of RTR Accountant within our Global Business Services Finance organization, you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer. You will manage fixed asset and project accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and efficient month-end processes while supporting the business across multiple geographies.

The team you will be part of

Working alongside colleagues across Finance, Controlling, Procurement, and local business teams, you will play an important role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records.

Our team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement. We support each other's development while striving to deliver high-quality financial services that create value for the business.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

  • Perform end-to-end fixed asset accounting activities, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Process asset creation, capitalization, transfers, retirements, disposals, and Capital Work in Progress (CWIP) transactions.

  • Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and ensure assets are accurately recorded and depreciated.

  • Review capitalization values, useful lives, and depreciation methods in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.

  • Monitor and review CWIP balances, following up with asset owners to support timely capitalization or retirement decisions.

  • Execute month-end depreciation runs and support period-end closing activities within agreed timelines.

  • Prepare and post fixed asset adjustments, including those resulting from physical asset verification.

  • Support impairment assessments, asset revaluations, and fixed asset reconciliations.

  • Collaborate with finance colleagues and business stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and ensure accurate project accounting.

  • Contribute to process improvements, standardization initiatives, and continuous enhancement of fixed asset accounting practices.

  • Support internal and external audit activities by providing accurate documentation and financial information.

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:

  • Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Have experience working within Record-to-Report, General Ledger, or Fixed Asset Accounting.

  • Possess a solid understanding of fixed asset accounting principles, capitalization, depreciation, and accounting standards.

  • Have experience working with ERP systems and financial applications.

  • Are comfortable using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools in your daily work.

  • Enjoy collaborating with colleagues across different countries and business functions.

  • Have a proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

  • Are fluent in spoken and written English.
