Our platform leverages AI-powered voice, SMS, and email engagement, across 80+ languages to proactively identify needs, remove barriers to care, and connect individuals to critical services such as food, housing, transportation, and healthcare support. Through automated outreach, screening, closed-loop referrals, and care pathway automation, we help organizations improve engagement, support benefits continuity, and deliver more personalized, person-centered care.

Trusted by over 2000+ organizations across 25+ states, Blooming Health enables partners to reach millions of individuals without increasing staff workload. By combining AI, automation, and engagement science, we help organizations expand capacity, improve outcomes, reduce administrative burden, and lower the total cost of care.

About The Role

As we scale, we’re looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Manager/Director of Finance to build and lead Blooming Health’s finance function through our next phase of growth. The ideal candidate will be based in New York City or remotely on the East Coast and will be able to travel to our NYC office monthly or as needed.

This leader will serve as a key business partner to the executive leadership team, owning financial planning and analysis, accounting operations, financial infrastructure, strategic finance initiatives, fundraising support, and financial governance across the organization. The role is responsible for ensuring Blooming Health maintains strong financial discipline while building the systems, processes, and insights necessary to support a rapidly growing healthcare technology company.

The ideal candidate combines deep accounting expertise, strong financial modeling capabilities, and strategic business acumen. They are equally comfortable preparing board materials, building forecasting models, improving accounting processes, evaluating strategic investments, and advising leadership on critical business decisions. This is a highly visible leadership role with direct influence on company strategy, growth planning, and operational execution.

Title will be commensurate with experience. While we are initially targeting a Director-level hire, we are open to exceptional candidates at the Senior Manager, Director, or similar level depending on experience, demonstrated impact, and leadership scope.

What You'll Do

Financial Planning & Analysis: Own Blooming Health’s budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and monthly reporting processes. Develop actionable financial insights and recommendations that support executive decision-making, resource allocation, and long-term business planning.

Financial Infrastructure & Reporting: Build and maintain scalable financial models, reporting frameworks, KPI dashboards, and operational reporting systems that provide visibility into company performance, growth trends, and key business metrics.

Accounting & Financial Operations: Oversee the company’s core finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll oversight, cash management, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all financial processes.

Strategic Finance Partnership: Partner closely with leaders across People Operations, Technology, Product, Operations, and Commercial teams to support headcount planning, vendor management, investment decisions, profitability analysis, and resource allocation.

Revenue & Contract Intelligence: Provide financial analysis and strategic support for customer contracts, pricing models, payer relationships, growth initiatives, and new business opportunities. Develop financial models that support commercial decision-making and long-term revenue growth.

Corporate Finance & Fundraising: Support fundraising activities, investor reporting, board materials, due diligence processes, financial storytelling, and long-range planning. Develop financial forecasts, valuation analyses, and scenario models that support capital planning and strategic initiatives.

Tax, Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee tax compliance, audit readiness, financial controls, internal governance, and risk management processes. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.

Systems, Process Improvement & Automation: Design and implement scalable financial systems, controls, workflows, and operating procedures that improve efficiency, strengthen reporting accuracy, and support organizational growth.
