About Our Family:

We are a busy, energetic family living in downtown New York City, balancing demanding careers, family life, and a full schedule. We have a young child, a full-time nanny who manages childcare, and a golden retriever.

We’re looking for someone who can provide reliable, hands-on household support and help take everyday tasks off our plate. This role is focused on straightforward household management-running local errands, picking up items, restocking household essentials, organizing spaces, handling returns and packages, and working through a clear list of tasks efficiently.

Our household moves quickly, so reliability, good judgment, and follow-through are especially important to us. We don’t need someone with years of formal House Manager experience; we’re much more interested in finding someone who is capable, professional, organized, and takes pride in getting things done efficiently and to our standards.

Who You Are / What We’re Looking For:

You’re someone who gets things done. If you’re given a list of errands or household tasks, you can work through it efficiently, use common sense along the way, and communicate when something changes or you need clarification.

You’re organized, attentive, and dependable. You notice details, follow instructions carefully, and don’t need extensive oversight to complete straightforward tasks. If something isn’t ready for pickup, a plan changes, or an issue comes up while you’re out, you pause, communicate, and adjust rather than simply continuing with the original plan.

You’re also comfortable helping with practical household tasks such as:

  • Running local errands and completing pickups and returns
  • Restocking groceries and household essentials
  • Receiving and managing packages
  • Keeping household supplies organized and logically stored
  • Handling basic household organization projects
  • Following up on simple household-related tasks or logistics
  • Working from a shared task list and keeping it updated
  • Communicating clearly when a task is completed, delayed, or requires a decision

Professionalism and good judgment are important in this role. You’ll be working in someone’s home and occasionally handling family purchases or other household logistics, so we’re looking for someone who is respectful of boundaries, thoughtful with family resources, and responsible with any payment methods or information entrusted to them. What matters most is that you are mature, trustworthy, efficient, comfortable navigating New York City, and able to see a list and execute it well.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being productive, likes creating order, and gets satisfaction from making someone else’s day run a little more smoothly.
