About Our Family

About Our Family

We are a warm, active family with two young daughters and a sweet, easygoing golden retriever who is always happy to get outside. Both parents work full-time, and Saturdays are especially busy for one parent, so consistent support during the week and on weekends would make a meaningful difference in our family life.

With a baby and a preschooler whose routines no longer line up neatly, our home can become busy quickly. We already have a weekday nanny and a cleaning team every other week, but we need someone focused on the household itself: keeping the kitchen, toys, clothing, and shared spaces organized; managing groceries and meal preparation; and noticing what needs attention without waiting for a list.

We enjoy whole foods, family dinners around the table, and a home that feels calm, cared for, and well stocked. We appreciate thoughtful systems and take pride in caring properly for our belongings. We also travel briefly once or twice a month, so flexibility and the ability to help the household adjust before and after trips are important.

More than anything, we are looking for a dependable, proactive professional who will take genuine ownership of the home, work comfortably alongside our existing support, and bring steady, positive energy to our family’s day-to-day life.

Who You Are / What We're Looking For

You are naturally organized, observant, and proactive. You notice when the playroom needs a reset, clothes have been outgrown, groceries are running low, or dinner preparation needs to begin, and you take care of it without waiting for detailed instructions. You enjoy creating practical systems for kitchens, closets, toys, and family supplies, but you are equally comfortable maintaining those systems through consistent daily follow-through.

You are confident with grocery shopping and meal preparation, appreciate whole foods, and can keep the kitchen clean, stocked, and ready for family dinners. You understand how to care for clothing and household belongings properly and take pride in leaving spaces noticeably better than you found them.

You work well alongside a weekday nanny, cleaning team, and outside vendors, communicating clearly and stepping in where support is needed without duplicating responsibilities. You are also comfortable around a baby, a preschooler, and a friendly dog who needs regular exercise.

Most importantly, you are dependable, energetic, and flexible. You can provide consistent Saturday support, help the household prepare for and recover from family travel, and adjust as priorities shift. This family needs someone who takes genuine ownership, follows through, and makes life feel calmer without requiring constant management.

Key Responsibilities

Household Organization & Maintenance

  • Create and maintain household organization systems throughout the home; conduct daily resets
  • Prepare the home ahead of the bi-weekly cleaning crew's visits

  • Own general grocery shopping; specialty and butcher orders managed by the family
  • Kitchen cleanup at the end of each shift
