Staff Software Engineer

Role Overview :

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will serve as a technical cornerstone for our engineering organization, driving the design and implementation of highly scalable systems that power our core product offerings. You will operate at the intersection of high-level system architecture and hands-on implementation, working closely with product managers, cross-functional engineering teams, and senior leadership to translate complex business requirements into robust technical roadmaps. Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the development of complex distributed systems and microservices to ensure high availability and fault tolerance across our cloud infrastructure.

- Lead the end-to-end software design process, ensuring that all technical solutions align with long-term business goals and scalability requirements.

- Drive performance tuning and database architecture optimizations to minimize latency and maximize throughput for mission-critical applications.

- Implement and refine CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices to accelerate deployment cycles and improve the overall quality of software releases.

- Establish and enforce security best practices across the development lifecycle to protect sensitive data and maintain system integrity.

- Mentor junior and senior engineers through code reviews, technical workshops, and design discussions to elevate the collective technical proficiency of the team.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated mastery in designing and maintaining large-scale distributed systems and microservices architectures using Java or Python.

- Proven ability to translate complex business problems into elegant, efficient code using advanced data structures and algorithms.

- Extensive experience in managing cloud-native environments, specifically leveraging Kubernetes for container orchestration and scaling.

- Strong proficiency in designing secure, high-performance database architectures that support evolving data needs.

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence cross-functional decision-making.

- A track record of providing technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and professional growth.

- A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field, combined with 5 - 10 years of experience in building high-impact software solutions.

- Ability to thrive in a hybrid work environment, demonstrating self-motivation and the capacity to drive projects independently while remaining highly collaborative.
