Goodwin is an international law firm headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, advising investors, entrepreneurs and companies in life sciences, private equity, real estate, technology, healthcare and investment funds on litigation, regulatory matters and complex transactions. Founded in 1912 by Robert Eliot Goodwin and Joseph Osborne Procter, it has more than 1,800 lawyers across 18 offices in North America, Europe and Asia, including New York, London, Munich and Singapore. It hires business professionals for its global operations team, including client development, legal project management, eDiscovery, pricing, accounting, data and AI engineering, recruiting and IT support staff.

Join Goodwin’s Global Operations Team, and make a real impact on a global scale. At Goodwin, we work with some of the world’s most successful and innovative investors, entrepreneurs and disruptors in the life sciences, private equity, real estate, technology and financial industries, and where they converge. As part of the Global Operations Team - all business professionals at the firm - you’ll collaborate with colleagues from varied backgrounds and experiences, fostering an environment where cross-functional learning, networking, and collaboration are at the core of what we do.

Here, we’re not just supporting a law firm; we’re partnering with attorneys and clients to deliver cutting-edge solutions in high-stakes litigation and dispute resolution, world-class regulatory compliance and advisory services, and complex transactions. Our commitment to integrity, ingenuity, agility, and ambition drives us, and we’re proud to have been recognised as the “Best Business Team” by The American Lawyer.

This is your opportunity to grow professionally in a dynamic, global environment, surrounded by forward-thinking peers.

The Client Development Coordinator, Strategic Pursuits & Proposals is a key member of the firm's Pitch & Pursuit Center of Excellence, coordinating proposals, RFPs, and other strategic business development opportunities from intake through submission. Working closely with attorneys, Client Development colleagues, and other Global Operations teams, the Coordinator helps ensure pursuit materials are compelling, accurate, polished, and delivered on time.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with strong writing, editing, and project coordination skills who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is motivated to continuously improve how the firm develops and delivers pitches and proposals.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate pursuit activities from intake through submission, owning day-to-day workflow and ensuring deadlines and deliverables are tracked and completed on schedule.
  • Prepare, format, proofread, and produce proposals, RFPs, presentations, and other related client-facing materials.
  • Draft and update proposal content using approved firm materials, experience descriptions, biographies, and other repository content.
  • Coordinate information gathering and responses from attorneys, Client Development, and other Global Operations teams.
  • Maintain pursuit workplans, task lists, submission calendars, and workflow tracking tools.
  • Ensure submissions meet client requirements, formatting instructions, and standards prior to delivery.
  • Manage version control, document organization, and centralized storage of proposal materials and final deliverables.
  • Support the development and ongoing maintenance of the firm's proposal content repository, including approved responses and other reusable content.
  • Conduct basic company, industry, and opportunity research to support proposal customization and pursuit preparation.
  • Assist with preparation for scoping calls and pursuit kickoff meetings, as well as related follow-up activities.
  • Track pursuit outcomes and support the collection of win/loss insights, client feedback, and reusable lessons learned.
  • Use and support the adoption of technology, automation, and AI-enabled tools to improve pursuit efficiency, content quality, knowledge sharing, and workflow management.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; comfort working with databases, reporting tools, and leveraging AI tools responsibly. Experience with Dynamics CRM is a plus.
  • A self-starter with strong writing, editing, proofreading, and document production skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with sound judgment and the ability to prioritize competing requests, identify risks or gaps, and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to interact effectively with attorneys, business professionals, and external contacts at all levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a proactive, service-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working with data, reports, and dashboards to support analytics-driven business development efforts.
  • Experience working with proposals, RFPs, business development, marketing, professional services, legal, consulting, or similar environments preferred.
  • Experience supporting senior professionals or client-facing teams preferred.
  • Willingness and enthusiasm in process improvement, content management, knowledge sharing, and AI-enabled business development solutions.
