[Remote] Data Platform Support Lead

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Deloitte is hiring a Data Platform Support Lead to design, build, and improve data platforms for client initiatives. The role develops and supports data pipelines, ensures platform quality and performance, collaborates with client and Deloitte teams on technical solutions, and contributes to junior team development.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data platform components, including ingestion, transformation, storage, and access patterns
• Build and maintain data pipelines using cloud-based services and modern data engineering tools
• Apply engineering practices for data quality, testing, monitoring, security, and performance
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, and client stakeholders to turn requirements into technical designs and deliverables
• Troubleshoot platform and pipeline issues and recommend practical improvements
• Contribute to technical documentation, code reviews, and team knowledge sharing

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform development, or a related field
• 4+ years of hands-on experience building and supporting data pipelines using SQL and a programming language such as Python or Scala
• 3+ years of experience with a cloud data platform or major cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• 3+ years of experience with data modeling, data warehousing, or distributed data processing
• 2+ years of experience using version control and collaborative software development practices, such as Git and code reviews
• 2+ years of experience applying data quality, testing, monitoring, or observability practices to production data solutions
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, and/or equivalent professional experience
