As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google’s artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.

Responsibilities

• Drive and manage the overall product quality and reliability strategy for Google Pixel phones during New Product Introduction (NPI) phases through post-launch.
• Partner closely with Technical Engineering (Tech Eng), Product Manager (PM), and Engineering Integration Program Manager (EI PM) to define clear quality standards, execute validation plans, and align engineering designs with critical product requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering Program Managers (EPMs), Operations Program Managers (OPMs), and Operation Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to ensure seamless execution, identify and mitigate manufacturing risks early, and support successful product ramp-ups.
• Work closely with the Early Failure Field Analysis (EFFA) Lab to rapidly root-cause field failures, implement corrective actions, and continuously feed quality improvements back into the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience as a technical program manager in a product quality setting.
• Experience with consumer hardware and cross-functional teams, including engineering, industrial/product design in module development, or vendor development/management.
• Experience in failure analysis (FA), root cause analysis (RCA), and Early Failure Field Analysis (EFFA).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience shipping high-volume consumer electronics (mobile).
• Deep expertise in DFQ, PQP, and QFMEA and implement early detection sensitivity (NUDD/CTQ) during concept phases to successfully prevent field failures.
• Comprehensive technical understanding to effectively standardize playbooks and drive a zero-spill quality culture.
• Act as a product quality advocate, driving cross-functional engineering teams, mentoring junior members, and delivering executive communication.
• Manage functional engineering teams and scale rigorous quality standards (IQC/OQC) with CM, ODM, and OEM partners.
• Lead Early Field Failure Analysis (EFFA) for rapid corrective actions and enhance ARR prediction accuracy by correlating data across REL, and MDP.
