Sr. EHS Engineer

Your Job

Molex is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Engineer to advance environmental, health, and safety management across our Taiwan operations and ensure compliance with Taiwan regulations, Global EHS requirements, and company standards. In addition to providing EHS expertise, this role will lead site-level EHS strategy, annual environmental and occupational safety improvement plans, and cross-functional governance. Through data-driven decision-making, risk management, and employee engagement, this role will strengthen EHS performance and safety culture. The position is also designed to develop strategic thinking, team leadership, and management coordination capabilities for broader EHS leadership responsibilities in the future.

Our Team

You will join a multidisciplinary team spanning EHS, Safety, EHS Technician, Facilities, and General Affairs, and report to the EHS Manager. The team partners with corporate and global EHS professionals to support the Molex Tamsui, Sanchong, and Xinyi office sites and to establish consistent EHS standards, management systems, and continuous improvement practices. The Senior EHS Engineer will serve as a technical leader, project coordinator, and mentor within the team.

What You Will Do

• Develop and drive the site-wide EHS strategy, annual objectives, priority programs, and performance indicators, translating Global EHS requirements, regulatory obligations, and operational risks into executable action plans.
• Establish the annual EHS engagement and governance cadence, including environmental and occupational safety campaigns, management reviews, risk-reduction tracking, communications, and employee participation programs.
• Lead the implementation, maintenance, internal audit, management review, and continual improvement of ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and related EHS management systems.
• Monitor Taiwan EHS regulations and company requirements, ensuring permits, regulatory submissions, testing, records, and government communications are completed accurately and on time.
• Lead site environmental programs covering air emissions, wastewater, waste, chemicals, energy, and greenhouse gas topics, including risk identification, compliance management, and improvement initiatives.
• Lead occupational health and safety programs covering risk assessment, safe work practices, contractor safety, equipment safety, electrical safety, LOTO, ergonomics, and emergency preparedness.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near misses, and significant abnormalities, applying root-cause analysis to establish corrective and preventive actions, verify effectiveness, and share lessons across sites.
• Develop and analyze EHS KPIs, trends, and risk information using Power BI, Enablon, Sphera, RA, or other applicable tools, and provide management with insights, priorities, and resource recommendations.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, Facilities, HR, Supply Chain, and other functions to integrate EHS requirements into new equipment, new processes, facility projects, management of change, and daily operations.
• Design and deliver role-based EHS training, leadership workshops, contractor training, and workforce communications to strengthen risk awareness and understanding of decision rights and responsibilities.
• Provide technical guidance, prioritization support, and coaching to EHS team members. When assigned by the manager, facilitate routine meetings, follow up team actions, and represent EHS in cross-functional discussions.
• Support business continuity management, emergency response exercises, and risk-reduction plans to strengthen site resilience.
• Support Business Continuity Planning (BCP) activities, emergency preparedness exercises, and related documentation.
• Apply Koch Principle Based Management™ in EHS decisions and improvement initiatives by constructively challenging the status quo and creating sustainable risk reduction and operational value.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional certification in occupational safety management, occupational health management, occupational safety and health management, or another relevant discipline.
• At least five years of hands-on EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, including independent ownership of cross-functional improvement projects.
• Working knowledge of Taiwan environmental and occupational safety and health regulations, with experience in compliance management, regulatory submissions, or government communication.
• Hands-on experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, with the ability to lead risk assessments, internal audits, incident investigations, training, and corrective action follow-up.
• Strong project management, cross-functional coordination, analytical problem-solving, presentation, and written communication skills.
• Ability to use data to identify trends, establish priorities, and provide recommendations to management.
• Demonstrated initiative, influencing skills, and ability to lead improvement work, with interest in progressively taking on broader team and EHS leadership responsibilities.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Environmental management certifications related to air pollution control, wastewater treatment, waste management, or toxic and concerned chemical substances.
• Professional fluency in English and Mandarin, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams and external stakeholders.
• Experience leading project teams, coaching colleagues, facilitating cross-functional meetings, or serving in a delegated leadership capacity.
• Experience with ISO 14064, RBA, Product Stewardship, sustainability, BCP, or facilities management.
• Experience with Power BI, Enablon, Sphera, or other EHS digitalization and data analytics tools.
