Gorilla Logic provides nearshore software engineering services. Its teams build web, mobile and cloud applications for United States clients. The company operates delivery centres across Latin America.

As a .NET Technical Engineering Manager / Architect, you will lead high-performing engineering teams while remaining closely involved in the technical direction and execution of enterprise solutions built on the Microsoft technology stack. This role combines people leadership, architectural ownership, delivery management, and client-facing collaboration.

You will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery across one or more engagements, ensuring engineering excellence, scalable solution design, and alignment with client and business objectives. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technical leader with extensive experience in C#, ASP.NET Core, distributed systems, and modern software architecture patterns.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership across engineering teams, participating in architecture discussions, code reviews, and key technical decisions.
  • Define and drive architectural standards for solutions built using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and related Microsoft technologies.
  • Guide teams in implementing modern architecture patterns, including microservices, event-driven architectures, modular monoliths, and domain-driven design.
  • Lead modernization initiatives, including migrations from legacy .NET Framework applications to .NET Core/.NET 8+.
  • Ensure engineering solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with industry best practices.
  • Support design reviews, technical spikes, proof-of-concepts, and architecture assessments when needed.
  • Champion engineering excellence through coding standards, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability practices.

People & Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor Software Engineers, Technical Leads, QA Engineers, and other engineering professionals.
  • Coach senior engineers and emerging leaders, supporting career growth and leadership development.
  • Own performance management, feedback, promotions, and compensation processes.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Address conflict, performance challenges, and team dynamics proactively and constructively.

Delivery Ownership

  • Own scope, schedule, quality, and delivery outcomes end-to-end for assigned engagements.
  • Be actively involved in day-to-day delivery activities, including standups, unblockers, and release coordination.
  • Track and manage delivery metrics such as cycle time, throughput, DORA metrics, SLAs/SLOs, and team velocity.
  • Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and blockers to ensure predictable delivery.
  • Partner with Product, Delivery, and Engineering teams to drive successful project outcomes.

Client-Facing Leadership

  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, participating in architecture reviews, technical workshops, delivery updates, and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Clearly communicate technical risks, trade-offs, and delivery status to both technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with clients to define technology roadmaps, modernization strategies, and long-term architectural visions.
  • Support proposals, estimates, Statements of Work (SOWs), and account growth initiatives in partnership with sales and leadership teams.

Financial & Operational Awareness

  • Understand and support forecasting, staffing, utilization, margin, and team allocation across engagements.
  • Partner with Delivery and Leadership teams to ensure the financial health and sustainability of projects.
  • Balance engineering excellence with cost, efficiency, and long-term scalability considerations.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with the Microsoft technology stack.
  • 3+ years in an Engineering Leadership, Technical Manager, or Solutions Architect role, leading engineering teams directly.
  • Strong expertise in C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, REST APIs, and SQL Server.
  • Experience designing and implementing distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Proven experience modernizing legacy applications and leading enterprise-scale .NET initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Experience working directly with U.S.-based clients in delivery and technical leadership roles.
  • Excellent English communication skills (C1/C2), both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with engineers, executives, and clients.
  • Previous experience in consulting or professional services environments.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Redis, RabbitMQ, Kafka, or GraphQL.
  • Exposure to pre-sales activities, estimations, and proposal development.
  • Experience scaling engineering organizations and building high-performing technical teams.
  • Microsoft certifications or architecture-related credentials.
  • Background in helping organizations modernize legacy systems and adopt modern engineering practices.
