Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain Excellence

Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? This role is currently based at our Minneapolis office and will transition to our new headquarters in Dayton, MN, in 2027.

The Vice President, Integrated Supply Chain Excellence is accountable for advancing how Graco’s integrated supply chain is designed, enabled, and transformed over time. The position leads enterprise network optimization and supply chain design and ensures operational excellence, technology enablement, and strategic initiatives are connected around common priorities and enterprise outcomes. The individual in this position establishes the governance, decision frameworks, and accountability mechanisms that guide major supply chain decisions and investments, resolve cross-functional trade-offs, and support value realization. Through this work, the position enables better decisions regarding manufacturing and distribution footprint, capacity, make-where strategy, product flow, resilience, technology capital investment, and total cost to serve while strengthening operational performance, scalability, and long-term supply chain capability.

What You Will Do at Graco

Network Optimization and Supply Chain Design

• Develop and govern the enterprise network optimization and footprint strategy across manufacturing, distribution and logistics.

• Lead enterprise footprint, capacity and make-where decisions supported by scenario modeling, fact-based analysis, and clear business cases.

• Evaluate trade-offs among manufacturing and distribution footprint, capacity, make-where strategy, product flow, inventory positioning, distribution strategy, customer responsiveness, resilience, capital investment, and total cost to serve as an integrated system.

• Build the tools, data, processes, governance and organizational capability required to support major network and capital footprint decisions.

• Establish a multi-year network roadmap aligned with growth plans, customer requirements, acquisition strategy, capital priorities and enterprise risk.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure the enterprise operating system supports network strategy, business priorities and customer commitments while preserving appropriate flexibility by business and site.

• Ensure Operational Excellence priorities are aligned with enterprise supply chain objectives and strategic business needs.

• Sponsor adoption of Lean, Six Sigma, VAVE, SCOR, standard work, coaching, and structured problem solving and remove enterprise barriers involving priorities, resources, investment, and decision rights.

• Ensure operational excellence, quality-management systems, value engineering, advanced manufacturing, and operational technology operate as an integrated capability that delivers measurable business value.

• Evaluate the effectiveness and business impact of Operational Excellence capabilities and investments.

Strategic Initiatives and Value Realization

• Establish the governance, prioritization, decision frameworks, and accountability mechanisms that guide major Operations & Supply Chain initiatives and transformations.

• Evaluate strategic initiatives as an integrated portfolio, balancing business value, organizational readiness, dependencies, investment requirements, risk, and resource availability.

• Align leaders across functions and businesses on initiative priorities, sequencing, accountabilities, risks, and expected outcomes.

• Resolve enterprise-level issues, trade-offs, and resource conflicts that impact successful delivery.

• Ensure acquisition integrations, major network changes, capability transformations, and other strategic programs are appropriately governed and delivering expected value.

• Ensure committed operational, strategic, and financial benefits are measured, realized, and sustained.

Technology Enablement

• Serve as the senior business liaison between Operations & Supply Chain and Information Technology.

• Establish and maintain the Operations & Supply Chain technology portfolio by aligning business requirements, capabilities, priorities, dependencies, and investment needs across functions.

• Prioritize and sequence technology investments based on business value, enterprise priorities, process maturity, organizational readiness, implementation risk, and resource capacity.

• Integrate AI opportunities into the Operations & Supply Chain technology portfolio by identifying high-value use cases, connecting business and technology stakeholders, evaluating readiness and expected value, and prioritizing opportunities for development and scale.

• Ensure technology roadmaps support network strategy, Operational Excellence priorities, acquisition integration needs, and long-term supply chain capability development.

• Establish governance, business ownership, decision rights, and value-realization expectations for major Operations & Supply Chain technology initiatives.

Team Leadership and Financial Management

• Lead, mentor, manage, and staff a team of supply chain-wide leaders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of leadership excellence.

• Develop and implement strategies for talent acquisition and management, succession planning, and leadership development to build a pipeline of future leaders.

• Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.

• Establish, manage, and be accountable for the annual Integrated Supply Chain Excellence budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with organizational strategic objectives.

What You Will Bring to Graco

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, Finance, or a related field.

• 15+ years of progressive leadership experience across operations, supply chain, manufacturing, operational excellence, strategy, technology enablement, or enterprise transformation.

• Deep experience in multi-site supply chain networks, footprint strategy, capacity planning, make-where analysis, product flow, resilience, and total-cost-to-serve optimization.

• Demonstrated success leading network and footprint studies and translating analysis into business, capital-investment, and operating-model decisions.

• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and enterprise capabilities.

• Experience establishing governance, prioritization, and accountability mechanisms across multiple functions and stakeholders.

• Strong financial, strategic, analytical, communication, and change leadership capabilities.

Accelerators

• Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

• Global industrial manufacturing and multi-business experience.

• Acquisition due diligence, integration, network consolidation, facility expansion, or major structural transformation experience.

• Experience shaping advanced manufacturing, automation, digital, analytics, AI, ERP, APS, MES, or operational technology roadmaps.

• Lean, Six Sigma, VAVE, SCOR, program management, or related expertise and certification.

• Experience building and scaling enterprise capabilities and specialized teams.

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
