Manual Testing Engineer

You'll be embedded in agile squads testing our warehouse management software, robot control interfaces, and fulfillment workflows. You'll own the test strategy for complex, distributed systems where quality directly impacts warehouse operations at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze product requirements, user stories, and technical specs to design comprehensive test plans and test cases covering functional, regression, integration, and UAT scenarios.
• Execute manual test cycles across web-based WMS/WES dashboards, REST APIs (via Postman/Swagger), and hardware-integrated robot control software.
• Perform end-to-end workflow testing simulating real warehouse operations inbound, outbound, putaway, pick, pack, and ship cycles.
• Log, reproduce, and track defects meticulously in Jira; collaborate closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and regression coverage.
• Conduct exploratory, boundary value, and negative testing to surface edge cases missed by functional coverage.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies, grooming, planning, daily standups, and retrospectives, contributing quality insights early in the development cycle.
• Maintain and continuously improve test case repositories in TestRail or equivalent tools, ensuring traceability to requirements.
• Validate database states and data integrity using basic SQL queries; verify API responses against business logic.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or Swagger UI.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation, writing SELECT queries, verifying joins, and checking table states.
• Hands-on experience with defect and test management tools such as Jira and TestRail.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills able to write crisp bug reports and test documentation.
• Ability to understand complex system workflows and trace defects across distributed, multi-service architectures.

Nice to Have:

• Prior experience testing WMS, WES, ERP, or supply chain / logistics software.
• Basic scripting knowledge (Python or JavaScript) to assist with automation or data setup.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• ISTQB Foundation certification or equivalent.
