Senior Software Engineer 3 (Backend)

We are looking for an experienced Backend Engineer who can take ownership of critical technical challenges and build high-performance, scalable software systems. The ideal candidate is a strong individual contributor who thrives on solving complex engineering problems, contributes to architectural decisions, and helps raise the technical bar across the team.

Responsibilities:

• Own and deliver critical backend components end-to-end.
• Solve complex, high-impact technical challenges.
• Collaborate closely with architects on Low-Level Design (LLD) and technical roadmaps.
• Re-architect and optimize existing algorithms and implementations.
• Drive improvements in system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in and lead code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, promoting strong engineering practices across the team.

Requirements:

• Strong backend development experience in Java / Python / Golang / Erlang.
• Hands-on experience with microservices and scalable, distributed system architecture.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
• Strong knowledge of RDBMS, SQL, and database design.
• Strong fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, and frameworks.
• Proven experience in algorithmic development and complex problem-solving.
• Experience designing and implementing non-trivial multi-process / multi-threaded systems.
• Strong grasp of version control (e. g., Git) and software engineering best practices.
• Prior experience with code reviews, technical mentoring, and design discussions.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• Candidates from premier institutes preferred.
