GreyOrange is looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer 3 (SDE 3) to design, build, and scale high-performance software systems that power intelligent warehouse automation and robotics platforms. This role requires strong backend engineering skills, system design expertise, and ownership of critical components.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend systems.
  • Lead system design discussions and make architecture decisions.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices.
  • Build and optimize microservices-based architectures.
  • Work closely with product, QA, DevOps, and robotics teams.
  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues.

Requirements:

  • Strong programming experience in Java / Python / C++.
  • Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture.
  • Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of OOP principles and design patterns.
  • Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Exposure to distributed systems and scalability concepts.

Good to Have:

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP).
  • Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
  • Background in logistics, robotics, or automation systems.
