Senior Staff Engineer

We are looking for a senior staff engineer with strong backend expertise and mandatory frontend experience to design and build scalable, high-performance systems. The ideal candidate should be a backend-heavy engineer (Java/Python/Golang) with solid hands-on experience in React.js or Angular, capable of driving architecture and mentoring teams.

The candidate will have responsibilities across the following functions:

Architecture and System Design:

• Design scalable, reliable, distributed systems and microservices architecture.
• Drive end-to-end system design across backend and frontend layers.

Backend Development (Core Focus):

• Hands-on coding in Java / Python / Golang.
• Build high-performance APIs and backend services.
• Optimise systems for scalability and low latency.

Frontend Development (Mandatory):

• Hands-on experience with React.js or Angular.
• Build and integrate UI components with backend systems.
• Ensure seamless user experience and performance.

Technical Leadership:

• Mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
• Drive architecture discussions and decision-making.

Scalability and Reliability:

• Build systems with high availability and fault tolerance.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability.

The core requirements for the job include the following:

Backend (Must Have):

• Strong expertise in Java / Python / Golang.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Strong system design fundamentals.

Frontend (Mandatory):

• Hands-on experience with React.js .
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture and integration.

Cloud and DevOps:

• Experience with AWS / Azure / GCP.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.

Database and Messaging:

• Experience with SQL / NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to Kafka / messaging systems.

Good to Have:

• Strong ownership mindset.
• Ability to lead at an individual contributor level.
• Experience in product-based environments.
